The Amateur is set to be released Tuesday, May 15. It is published by Regnery Publishing, owned by Eagle Publishing, which also owns Human Events.

At least someone waited until after 12 to start drinking today.

Yeah, that's it. It's not the fact that the blog is the publisher of this guy's book, or that it sucks or anything. It's the headline that we have a problem with.

Perhaps you'd be more at home with Free Republic.

So the Republican's feel this doctor is right, and that we should implement a nationwide single payer system? If not, then he's probably not the best guy for you to bring forward.

2012-05-12 02:11:01 PM
It's his FORMER doctor, not his current one, Subby

Although Obama and Scheiner did not have a close relationship, Scheiner was clearly upset by how he was cut off when Obama became president.

"Obama invited his barber to his inauguration-his barber! But I wasn't invited. Believe me, that hurt."

Sounds like Former Doctor is just a whiny jerk who's trying to get back at Obama.

2012-05-12 02:14:37 PM
I could give a fark about his doctor. My daughter can stay on my insurance until she's 26 and I no longer have a lifetime maximum benefit. I LOVE Obamacare. And if you don't like it, it's because your sorry ignorant ass doesn't know the first thing about it. Or you hate America. Or possibly both.

My point is that the headline as well as the article is misleading. Conservative websites are publicizing the fact that Obama's doctor is angry with him and that he thinks the Health Reform law was bad. These websites quotes the doctor as thinking it's bad, implying that the Doctor is against it for the same reason conservatives are. The doctor is actually against it because it was TOO conservative, which is a point that never shows up in any of the articles I've read about this. The doctor wanted single payer.

Then again, this is kind of the MO of Edward Klein's books, which have a history of inaccuracies and omissions. It's yellow journalism.

Obviously, this reflects poorly on my work in disaster response policies.

Yes, yes. Obama is a passionless, robotic bore. I'm sure these sudden baseless accusations have absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the GOP/conservative candidate is a clammy cyborg lie-factory, right?

Honestly at this point the Romney bandwagon is operating slightly above the mental level of a macaw. Hear something bad said about Romney, replace his name with Obama, and repeat.

2012-05-12 02:53:37 PM
Obamacare has been a massive gift to the insurance industry, sold to the mathematically challenged as a gift to them.

Nobody should be defending it. All it does is prevent a single payer system while enriching the people that have made health care impossibly expensive.

It's sad that the left will defend it vigorously simply because the conservatives are against it. It needs to die a quick death so the fight for a single payer system can resume.

Probably because he saw his barber every 2 or 3 weeks for years.

Probably saw his doctor twice in that time. But this guy apparently thinks a barber is beneath him. No class system in America! No siree!

I don't think you understand how insurance works. How is requiring 85 cents of every dollar of premiums to be used for healthcare a "gift" to insurance companies?

I'm sure you can come up with a reason.

It's such a gift that insurance companies are having to pay back policy holders billions of dollars in premiums.

I disagree.

Compared to what we have now, it'll be an improvement over the current system. That's why I'm defending it. I don't think it prevents a single payer system at all. Congress is doing that. But you have to take baby steps in order to get European-style universal health care.

Germany and Switzerland have great systems while using the private sector. Hopefully we can head towards that direction sometime.

But you're basically asking too much in too short of a time IMHO.

Except it won't. Our government is owned by corporations, on both sides of the aisle, and there is no way in hell, unless that changes, that single-payer will get through. Insurance companies won't allow something that will take such a massive chunk out of their profits, if not destroy them.

We have a country filled with uneducated racists who actually believe all of their taxes go to black people. If we had a country of 90% white people there would be universal health care here as well.

That article didn't tell me anything about Obamacare or why it's a bad idea. He just said he doesn't like Barack Obama's personality, and mentions that he is "perhaps" incompetent. It reads like a test question on a Logic exam question for "ad hominem logical fallacy".

Whar rational criticism of Obamacare?

Ah yes, the FARK IndependentTM. That's a totally new and exciting way of being a Republican while still being too embarrassed to call yourself a Republican.

What you posted was a rambling, projecting, pathetic mess of a tantrum. So yes, that makes you a Republican.
