Next week, Fox baseball is in prime time, right?

Hopefully Brewers/Cubs has another awesome game like last night

...It's Volstad starting. Expect a big Brewers win.

The O's are sending Brian Matusz to the mound, which usually means a loss, but the Rays are countering with Matt Moore, who isn't exactly setting the world on fire and who has been a fly ball pitcher & is going up against the kings of solo home runs. Ought to be an interesting game.

Stat of the day: Baltimore leads the majors with 53 home runs, but they rank just 8th in runs scored & 42 behind the Rangers. Of those 53 home runs, 66% (35) have been solo shots.

True but the Brewers offense has sucked lately. The injuries to Gamel and Gonzalez hurt badly.

2012-05-12 12:58:45 PM
Because I just noticed this, stat of the day 2: Baltimore also leads the majors in innings pitched; they've thrown 8.2 more innings than the Seattle Mariners, who have actually played one more game than the Orioles.

Who's this guy that is not Joe Buck with Tim McCarver?

Not that I'm complaining.

Nice to know that mlb.tv is blacked out for the 1:05 games, even though the blackout's supposed to apply to games AFTER 1:10.

That was one of the wildest games I have seen in a long time.

Pujols missed a fastball right down the middle of the plate. That ball would've gone 450 ft if he was playing like he used to

Wilson walks Kinsler and Andrus, and then strikes out the hottest hitter in baseball. Naturally

FURY!

I'd much rather be watching this game, but Fox Atlanta is subjecting us to this Mets-Marlins crap.

Is Mets-Marlins the national broadcast? Rangers-Angels has the B team in the booth. I can't figure out why I'd get this one instead, though (in Baltimore).

/Not that I'm complaining

Wilson has been behind in the count to everybody, but 2 double plays have helped him keep it scoreless through 2 innings

well as mentioned upthread, this game has McCarver and some voice I don't recognize. Not sure if this is considered the A game or not, since I'm in an NL East city and it's two NL East teams.

My beloved & long-suffering O's are starting Brian Matusz....again. At least the Rays are starting an equally shiatty lefty. I smell a slugfest. May the best bats win!

As long as it didn't hit his knuckles he'll be fine.

I was in an Atlanta bar last night with lots of "A" hats watching the game. Beltran hits a dinger, guy stands up out of his booth and cheers, claps, and shouts in celebration for at least ten seconds. This was repeated every time something big happened for the Cardinals.

Glad the Fox announcers (just tuned in, is that Eric Karros?) are arguing over the phrase "good piece of hitting" - it needs to be retired from baseball broadcasting.
