Well that's nice, they quit investigating him for fraud and let him have his winnings.

Each ticket had a different Powerball # on it. 5/6 wins 1M. Not bad for an investment of 12.00.

Hopfully he will donate $1 million of it to the Defense of Sheriff Joe Fund.
That poor man needs all the help he can get. God Bless you Joe!

he picked up his $6 million in winnings over the course several visits to the Arizona Lottery's headquarters

That must have been fun for him.

"Hi, remember me? I'll take another $1m. Thanks."

That's how I play. But I change a regular number and not the PB.

/Had one win with regular lotto...3 with 4 numbers and 1 with 5 = $3964

I can see how that could happen. You have your regular 5 "lucky" numbers, and then buy a bunch of tickets, and have variable mega ball numbers on each one. Say, one with your wife's age, another with your kids birthday's and so on.

This. if his lucky numbers are, say, 1 2 3 4 5 and then he also plays numbers, say, involving his children - say, their birth days - I can see him being odd and playing 12345 16, 12345 22, 12345 19, etc.

Numbers come up 123459 and bam, he gets six hits.

It's the extreme coupon-ing of the lotto world. Just pick your favorite five numbers and then play all 35 different possible Powerball tickets?

Ward, you're pissing me off. Now you're insulting my intelligence; what you think I am, a farkin' idiot? You know goddamn well that someone had to get into those machines and set those farkin' numbers. The probability of one winning ticket is a million and a half to one; the probability of 6 tickets in a row; it's in the billions! It cannot happen, would not happen, you farkin' momo! What's the matter with you? Didn't you see you were being set up on the second win?

An Arizona Lottery spokeswoman says the Glendale man claimed six $1 million prizes after purchasing six Powerball tickets with the same winning numbers late last month.

The tickets were good for a half dozen second-place prizes. And he picked up his $6 million in winnings over the course several visits to the Arizona Lottery's headquarters in Phoenix.

It's a good thing this article isn't any longer, the poor author would have to find more ways to write "six".

Too bad one of his tickets didn't have the Powerball. 5 $1 million dollar winners and one MAMA BABY WANT winner. That would have been fun.

If we're going to keep reporting every time someone does this, now, can we move it to another tab? Entertainment would be good. Up until the ultimate lottery, this happened every week or two in the past, why does anyone care about it now?

Mods, stop greening this, it always has the exact same reason for happening. Find us some actual lottery scandals.

I do the same thing.... have 6 "lucky" numbers, play 'em in different combos with different powerball numbers, because it's a mortal sin to commit suicide if i pick the all the right numbers, but get the wrong powerball number.

A friend of mine likes to tell a story about how a friend of his bought a scratcher at 7-11 on his 21st birthday. Just for fun because he was old enough. He won $20,000. Happy birthday indeed.

Nevermind that! It's not even news worthy. Didn't anyone else notice that Anne Hathaway has a Hot Bikini Bod? It's right there! On the right, in the Entertainment Video section, you can see it! Anne Hathaway, a woman, wears a bikini to the beach. That's news.

THANKS E!

There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Dead for Tax Reasons: I like these numbers so much i'll play them six times?

When I had to drive the lottery machine at the package store several years ago we had several customers who played the same numbers several times.
I just never saw any of them actually win anything.
