I've always kinda liked Inge, plus I share a birthday with him, albeit I'm about 10 years older.

This is unpossible. The Tigers released Inge at the end of April.

At least we still have Ryan Raburn

I think what happened is Inge got to talk to an honest to goodness batting coach who refined his swing. You see this happen to other Tigers that leave, ie Granderson who couldn't touch lefties until he went to the yankees.

Lloyd Mcclendon needs to be moved along.

Pretty much this.

"RBI" is plural. But I love you anyway subby.

Who cares? It's meaningless.

That and a fresh start with lowered expectations. He got booed every time he played.

I wish him the best...

Now all he has to do is develop Brandon Inge Disease, and he'll be famous forever

I get a kick out of watching Raburn expect the ball boy to carry back his lid and gloves every time he strikes out for the third out. Why is this guy on the team and why is he batting 6th?

It could be the new name for cognitive dissonance.

His swing is exactly the same. The guy is having a few good games after switching teams, he'll start sucking again very soon.

SUBBY HERE!...enjoying my first green in over 18 months!

Here's my take on Inge. Love his attitude, personality and glove at 3B. All of the runs he saved on defense would've made up for batting only .250 or .260. Instead, .234 over 12 years is a LOT of outs. No offense, Brandon. Love ya, but it's a billion-dollar business.

And I've never gotten to do the World Series Happy Dance in my 39 years on Earth. (Grew up in a Cub household...)

Best wishes. And God Dammit! Stop it already.

Lloyd Mcclendon needs to be moved along.

Oh. My. God. THIS!. Loved him as a rookie Cub in '89, and as a Pirate manager taking second base back to the dugout with him, but that's it. As talented as this team is, it isn't completely Leyland-Lamont-McClendon proof. They can win the division despite them, but not home field advantage, and thus, will not advance past Texas in October.

Not that I'm calling for Leyland's ouster yet. The turmoil that will result from yanking him mid-season will certainly lose them enough games to fail home field advantage, and thus, the pennant. He's the best we've got right now, even if I can beat him in Strat-O-Matic. (He could beat me hands-down in clubhouse psychology...)

Fire him in November, and hire Ryne Sandberg.

Hah! The two double IPA's I've chugged before lunch made me miss my own accidental double-entendre!

No offense, Brandon.

I forgot to add this to my Inge rant...He's either now or soon to be 35. While Raburn also sucks, at least he can suck for another ten years, as Leyland lives on, preserved by coffee and cigarette toxins like cockroaches or Keith Richards.

Fair enough. This is why language is malleable.
