Well, once Terrell Owens and Marshawn Lynch left town, we'd been needing a head case. *sigh*

Glad to see that asshat is out of Philly. I don't generally hate many players, but he's one.

They needed somebody to come in to make sure they could blow huge leads in case Ryan Fitzpatrick was injured.

Not hate. Ridicule. There's a difference. You save the hate for the good players you don't like, not the crappy ones.

All they need now is Reggie Bush and they'll have the entire set

The highlight of his career.

But it's been all downhill ever since people with better talent showed how much of a slacker he was.

But Vick is OK in your book?

As much as I love any and all shots at the Eagles, the Bills' defensive front looks pretty ridiculous now. And if nothing else, putting Vince Young and C.J. Spiller on the field at the same time could be entertaining. Not that I expect Vince to play a whole lot, but still.

Tony Romo. Lions.

2012-05-11 05:49:39 PM
I think this has little effect on the Bills overall. They needed a backup QB so they went out and got a backup QB. Sure he's a headcase, but Ryan Fitzpatrick was scary bad last year after he busted his rib in the Washington game.

2012-05-11 05:57:39 PM
I hate to say it, but with a healthy Amish Rifle (Fitzy), the Bills have a chance to contend in the AFC this year. I doubt Wince Young will spend much time on the field. (At least I hope so.)

And he did it in 1 less INT than Vince's 4 at the Seahawks.

(and he threw 3 TDs to Vince's 1)

Don't really like Vick either. Setting the dog thing aside for a moment (hard to do, obviously) , he's reckless, gets hurt too often, and can throw too many picks. But at least he's shown he can work hard and not throw his coaches/teammates under the bus.
I'm hoping after this year, they draft a qb next year, or turn the reins over to Nick Foles.

If that's the guy with bungi cord arms from the crappy FF movies then yes. My Marvel foo is weak.

The Bills needed an upgrade at QB2 and got one. If "The Beard" gets hurt again, I don't see the team winning many games with Pigpen in there. At least VY would make the games slightly more interesting.

I think this could potentially make for some interesting packages in the red zone - they need help there.

That would suck. :( I hear he's pretty well recovered from that groin injury he had last year, though.

Lifelong Bills fan here.

having been in both Philly and Tennessee, both states will drive anyone to madness. Hopefully that guy will get some wings in him, have some beers, calm down, and not drop the clipboard he'll hopefully be holding all season.

Portland needs an NFL team so players can become alcoholics and potheads without worrying about anyone (local) caring while they recover from playing for Dallas, Philly, Ten, Cleveland, Cincy or Buffalo. Plus it would give the Ducks football teams a place to have reunions.

Another one here.

Not a bad move to add an inexpensive backup for Fitzpatrick. I don't expect Young will see the field much, so this doesn't make much difference.

Exactly. It's not as if the free agent market is awash in viable backup QBs. Low risk, high upside, and if he acts up, both Chan and Buddy have demonstrated they won't suffer fools lightly. For the first time in a long time I'm really looking forward to the season.
