Hmmmm...nope. Can't be afraid of that. Any conventional explosive that small, wrapped in living flesh isn't going to do much of anything to those around.

Stuck in a piece of electronics it'll at least cause some minor injuries from the shrapnel. Maybe even put somebody's eye out.

But seriously, are we calling people who shove some bang putty into odd things "bomb designers" now? Christ, I guess I was an artisan bomb designer for the entirety of my childhood! Our shop had an attached junk yard, and I was always finding new and interesting ways of blowing shiat up!

I think these bomb designers don't actually intend to get any of this shiat through to a target. I think their actual job is to design bombs that fit into more and more ridiculous situations so that the government will carve our personal rights away and turn our lives into circuses.

Things won't get better until they get much worse. The worst thing that terrorists can do is blow more planes up. Eventually even you bleeding heart liberals will decide it is ok to deport them and refuse visas to any others wanting to come into the U.S. At the very least stop allowing them to fly.

They've been trying. There was an incident where they put the bomb in a baby. The baby died and its wound was poorly suitured. The security people noticed the blood seeping through the blanket.

They are trying some scary shiat. Thank god they aren't much more than halfway compitent as a group. Also, the next targets are expected to be 'soft' ones (schools, malls, traffic).

Why is it easier to blow up a plane (happens daily right?) than it is to kill civvies in large groups at the mall or school or public gatherings? They cant see to sneak a gun on the planes so they try bombs, they don't always get them on the plane even. When they do, they don't always explode. When they do explode, the plane doesn't always crash.

But here in America, where btw we are just farking swimming wall to wall in Americans to kill, we have high school and college kids taking easy to access firearms and wiping out a few dozen Americans at a time. No bomb or plane required even. Our American teenagers are far more dangerous than an angry group of muslims could ever bee, statistically speaking.

Me too.

As far as this guy, of course we needed this. If the last decade taught us anything, it's that the US gov't absolutely loves having some random evil, un-catchable madman out and about. It keeps the general population in fear, which just makes passing absurd laws easier.

After this, there will be someone who can make molecule sized nukes which can be applied to water systems. Be afraid!!

The most impactful approach at this point would be for slow acting biological weapons to be released in major shopping locations during peak shopping times. They'd get a higher body count, create new panic/fear and economically cripple the country...

Answered yer own question there mate.

This character (who seems a bit, well, invented) is portrayed as being slightly less creative and intelligent than me, and that is not meant as a compliment. The average terror plot is absolute crap, the ones that get into America? Worse still. Someone who actually cared about fear and terror could do more with a maintenance uniform and a can of gasoline than 300 bombs. FIRE is the way to kill a lot of people, just disable (or better yet, subvert) the fire suppression systems and you've got yourself more dead folk than 9/11. But the smart, creative people usually don't join terror groups, they either get killed while young or realize their religion is retarded.

all this stuff is nice and scary, but they already succeeded in screwing us up royally as a society with 9/11. the best way to live through a culture in fear is to ignore it.

Purging is at last at hand. Day of Doom is here. All that is evil, all their allies; your parents, your leaders, those who would call themselves your judges; those who have lied and corrupted the Earth, they shall all be cleansed. You, my children, are the water that will wash away all that has gone before. In your hand, you hold my light, the gleam in the eye of Set. This flame will burn away the darkness, burn you the way to paradise!

they may be less inclined to enjoy brainwashing due to their intelligence. you seriously need to be pretty persuasive to convince someone to go kamikazee, and you need a significantly marginalized and emotionally insecure/unstable person to be persuaded.

/ although, they say that the average cult member is of above average intelligence, so who knows?

How do air travelers with cats avoid the cat engaging in chemical warfare? My cats are likely to either puke or poop or both on a short car ride, which forces me to open the windows no matter the temperature. I can't imagine what my fellow passengers would do to me if that kind of stench came from my cat in flight.
