She's South African. I can't be arsed to look it up, but I imagine that's where she adopted from. The percentage of white kids to black kids needing a home in SA is tiny.

The girl is drop dead gorgeous, but 5'4" and too short to be a model, and therefore given daddy's money, her looks, her Russian temper and her bitterness, she might be the single worst person on Earth.

My sister in law found it almost impossible to adopt locally. The red tape she had to go through and the costs made it almost impossible. And she wanted a child that could more easily identify with her racial background. I'm not saying adopting out of race is wrong, I'm saying you're right. There ARE kids in America (and Canada) that should be adopted and instead you have the self righteous (Madonna, Charlize, Angelina) going off to "rescue" a child in Africa. What the hell? Are the kids locally not good enough? It's like a handbag or a pair of shoes. Any hand bag or pair of shoes won't do. It has to come from _________ (fill in the blank). Arrogance is a disease.

I agree with you. I can't imagine anyone with a celebrity status having too hard of a time adopting anywhere. Status and money can cut through red tape pretty quick.

Yeah, but are you sure you want a kid from Russia? Have met two people that got kids from Russia. Both ended up having severe health issues that weren't disclosed to the parents. New parents found out when they got the kid back here and took them for a checkup.
