magusdevil: karnal: The Department of Defense briefed the president this morning. They told President Obama that two Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq.

Visibly shaken, he put his head in his hands and rocked from side to side for a moment.

Finally, he composed himself and asked, "Just how many is a brazillion?"

How would a Brazillian soldier get killed in Iraq? There are no Brazillian soldiers in Iraq. Never were.

The joke is funny regardless of how clumsily it was adapted to the current topic.

You could have said "Obama heard that two Brazilian celebrities cancelled the fund raiser and he asked how much that was." but adding dead soldiers is funnier somehow..

Reminds me of another joke where Obama (dressed in a grass hopper costume) asks a bartender for a drink...I forget how it goes but the punchline is something about karnal's mom being a whore.

tenpoundsofcheese: bulldg4life: tenpoundsofcheese: I am sure people in Hollywood appreciate 0bama's support of RIAA's efforts to combat piracy of their work.

Like when the White House came out and said they wouldn't support SOPA and PIPA?

No like when 0bama backed RIAA, MPAA and ACTA

oh, and about SOPA

Pretty deft foot-archery. It'a amazing. You really can't be humiliated by having your ignorance pointed out, can you?
Suddenly from "Citizens United = Hollywood Dem fundraiser", it's about RIAA/MPAA/etc.
But once you're made a fool of on that subject, just like a jack in the box, some other pathetic talking point will pop up.

tenpoundsofcheese: Terlis: tenpoundsofcheese: okay, so you are saying there is NOT a list of people who attended.

that list you linked is for 0bama. There is a 2500 limit of donation for each candidate. where is the other 37500 reported?

It goes to the DNC. That's how these fundraisers work. $2500 to the candidate, the rest to the party. It's like you've never seen the GOP do this.

I didn't say the GOP doesn't do this.
Can you find out who contributed to the DNC and RNC and the $ amounts? I would expect so, but am not sure.

Why do you want to know? Of course you don't want to know. You haven't the slightest interest in who was there and what they contributed. If you really cared, you'd do the two minutes of research that OTHER people did that answered your question.

You say, "I'm just asking a question." OK, how about answering a question:

Where's the list of contributors and amounts to GOP supporting SuperPACs?

Well, how about that.?

fta: On the way to Clooney's house, along the exclusive canyon roads, families gathered at dinner time to gawk, wave and cheer the presidential motorcade. Children manned a lemonade stand with a sign: "Presidents drink free."
Around the corner, a boy held up another hand-drawn sign on cardboard: "Will trade Lakers for Bulls if you stop."
And one more: "Our gay family says thanks Mr. President."

Noice.

HairBolus: GoldSpider: Sure would be nice to see the money from one of these fundraising events (R or D) go to a worthwhile cause.

Are you really this weapons-grade-stupid? You want a fund-raiser for a candidate in an election to instead give the money to breast cancer research, saving baby whales, or funding Christian missionaries? Are you aware that groups do hold fund raisers for those purposes? Sure it would be nice if there was enough campaign finance reform so that political fund raising was not needed or illegal, but I get the feeling that you are not smart enough to be advocating this position.

So ill put you in the "Newt Gingrich was a worthwhile investment" camp.
