I can't imagine anyone getting injured playing this "sport."

/Watched someone get three teeth knocked out last night at a pickup game of hockey. Yes, he was wearing a face shield.

More creepy or less creepy than the Lingerie League?

Look, I'm as much in favor of hot girls in bikinis as the next Farker. I could look at them for hours. (OK, OK, I could look at them for a few minutes. And a couple of hours later, I could look for a few more minutes).

But it just seems weird to go gin up some ridiculous fake "sporting event" so that creepy middle-aged men can pretend they're not staring at girls in bikinis. I'm pretty sure that a GIS for "bikini girls hockey" or similar will get you whatever you need if your taste happens to run to dress-up and role-play. This is somewhere below Pretending You Go To Hooters For The Chicken Wings on the scale of sad and pathetic things men do.

And on a momentary note of seriousness (yeah, I know, welcometofark.jpg), it's denigrating to women who actually do take part in sports. And before you jump on that comment, take a moment to ask yourself: Am I one of the Farkers who routinely blasts Americans for being fat and indolent?

No stupider than the Lingerie Football League. Meaning, they're both pretty stupid.

Wait til baseball jumps on board this trend.

The word is that they're going to put netting around the ice above the boards. Right now the girls' nipples get so hard they can cut through the glass at most arenas.

Seems like an elaborate way to get a bunch of bikini shots.

Showed this to my girlfriend, who is a hockey fanatic. "You said you wanted kids who play hockey, right?"

I can't really repeat her response here, as the filter would reduce it to gibberish. Let's just say she was not amused.

I tend to agree with your assessment. I think there's a market for it in America, though...basically men who are chained to women who won't put out, who will throw a shiat fit if they watch porn or even look at a another woman wrong, and will be cleaned out in divorce proceedings. So, basically men who have been reduced to the status of eleven year old boys.

Because those kinds of women would be totally okay with them going to bikini sports games.

If you have looked at society today and what passes for men you see that most have been reduced to that status.

I wasn't really aiming it toward you personally at all. I mean, I'm getting to the point where I'd be the target market too, so I'll just retire to the den, fire up the Wii, and reflect on my life choices.

And I wasn't taking personally, to be clear. It was more of a "hey, I resemble that remark!" kind of thing.

women want to be taken seriously. to be the equal of men in all areas. to make as much, to be considered as valuable, to be thought of as more than sex objects.

and then they line up to wear a bikini and play hockey in those bikinis for the amusement of men.

what the fark, girls?

Now that I'm an adult, I am surprised to realize the fact that women will slut up just about anything if it means a bit more attention and money.

Quite pathetic IMO.

If you need the money so bad, come suck my dick or do porn. Either way, leave my hockey the fark alone.

You're assuming it's the same women.

Men want to be taken seriously, to be the equal of women in all areas, to be thought of as more than loud, obnoxious, women with poor personal hygiene.

And then they line up to chug beer from a keg wearing those shorts and muscle shirts for the amusement of... well, nobody.

no, because it doesn't work in reverse. the double standard is real. no one pays men to run around in their underwear playing "sports" for the pleasure of women. well maybe wrasslin' but that shiat is STILL made for men, since it is basically men's soap opera. think of it this way - all the men tennis greats, but how many have beefcake posters that rank among the sexiest posters of all time? But then Anna. All the great men race car drivers, how many have iconic beefcake posters? but then Danika.

all I am saying here is that women want to be taken seriously, stop this lingerie league bullshiat. It is one of the few things in this world that ALMOST offends me. And I am a straight man that thinks naked or almost naked wimminz are AWESOME.

No, all you are saying here is that you think the foolish actions of a handful of young women invalidate the desire of the vast majority to be treated as, you know, people.

The double standard here is in your head. You are assuming that it's OK to judge all women by the actions of a few, all women tennis players by Anna, all women race car drivers by Danica [sic]; but that it's not OK to judge men by the actions of, say, the Chippendales, Burt Reynolds (famously iconic beefcake poster), or Mel Gibson who in his younger days once remarked "when I get a new script, I look through to see how many pages before they want me to take my pants off".

Yes, more women than men do it. And why? Because they can. Because we men like to look. Because millions of years of evolution have made of us a species where the women display and the men court. If we were songbirds it would be the other way around.

But none of this excuses the sexism that you can't seem to get beyond: the existence of a handful of women who are willing to dress up in bikinis for pretend sports to make money does not invalidate the legitimate desire of every other woman on the planet to be taken seriously, anymore than the existence of the Chippendales invalidates the desire of men to be taken seriously. What you are doing is, in principle, no different than going into a club, seeing one girl in a tiny minidress, and saying "how can women expect to be taken seriously in the workplace while that girl is dressed like that?".

The problem is your insistence on judging all women by the actions of a few, rather than treating each person as an individual. Really, this is not that complicated.

Do they allow people to wear appropriate clothes under the bikini if they want?

Seriously, can we just stop trashing up everything?

no, the problem is people like you that spout ideological nonsense, when in actuality while there may be tons of great women that DON'T get almost naked for money, those people are not held out to the media as shining examples of womanhood.

bimbos in bikinis ARE, and when most of the examples of women in the media that are often held out to young girls to emulate, who are they watching? Snookie, dumb-ass pregnant teens, and bimbos in bikinis.

More women need to say "enough with this bullshiat" and refuse to take part in that crap. I like how I get attacked for saying that lingerie sports are sexist and offensive.
