Igor Jakovsky: [i47.tinypic.com image 600x450]

My kitteh Cali. I had to let her go a little over a month ago. She was 14 and the Doc said she probably had a tumor. I bawled like a baby when I had to take her in. She was the first pet I ever had to do that with. She had been here and there and everywhere with me for the past 12 years. Ive been meaning to post her in a Caturday thread as a little memorial.

RIP Cali

She was a beauty. Sorry for your loss.

Welcome to Cinco, who found joined the House of Heathens on Wednesday morning at 5:30 am.

He passed his tests yesterday and was brought into the clowder.

And yes, that is his name and that is the right number

He is older than 6 months but not by much. Still has his parts, the removal is in the 30th.

And you can see how terrified everyone is. Actually Dyson (the dog) was all excited and wanted to see the kitty and be with the kitty. The wild eyed look of his, well, he is a goofball

He adores catnip, found the catnip pad that Robin (he is my only other catnip fiend) uses. Cinco spent the entire time he was out of lockup sitting, purring, drooling....on the catnip pad. And it was even better cause I brought out more for him!

So, disregarding my issues, what's going on with everyone? Condolences to all who lost cats recently, and certainly to q_j, who needs to get my new phone number.

Now you are really being silly! Yay! Glad to see you back in the Caturday thread! It isn't you, but I have to leave for an out of town birthday party and won't be back until sometime tomorrow afternoon. You be good.....ok?

we have 22 kittens in the house......

I have 6 and they're driving me batty, how are you sane?!?!?!?

Doesn't help that they think my legs are some sort of stripper pole they have to swing around!

Her Indoors: tigerose I do not know how active I will be this week. RL just kicked me upside the head. My Mom has stage 1 bladder cancer, non-invasive. And they can't do the treatment right away because the bacterium they use is backordered. WTF!

So she is being upbeat, and I am crying.

I know it scary, but try to keep positive. My uncle was diagnosed with bladder cancer (not sure what stage) and apart from the occasional visit to the hospital to pinch out a regrowth now and then, he's absolutely fine. He's just started his own business, and to look at him, you wouldn't know there were any issues with his health. BTW, it's been at least 5 years since he was diagnosed, and hasn't deteriorated at all. Will keep my fingers crossed for your mum.

Here's more good vibes.

I've dealt with a couple of people who have had bladder cancer and they're still going. One was Dx over 10-15 years ago and had some pretty radical surgery but is still going like nothing happened. His only complaint was "I have to pee all of the time" but then he said "but at least I'm here to pee". I got the biggest kick out of him!

Hopefully, your mom will be one of them. Well, not the peeing all of the time thing but still kicking 15 years later saying FU CANCER!

In preparing for our trip to NMU for my son's transfer orientation, we got a pleasant surprise from the local college he was attending. His government teacher actually posted a passing grade! So now he has an AS in Science/Biology! WOOT!
