I should get some sleep - I have a mandatory training session on how to collect hair for drug testing during lunch tomorrow, so I need to be awake to learn how to cut hair. See you guys tomorrow.

Glad to hear Wolf is feeling better, so scary to have them so sick and can't tell you what's wrong. Sounds like you have a really good vet. Good for you, and good for Wolf.

Yay for the boys! I do love their names! They should be just fine after the surgery. The boy kitties I had fixed before they went to the cat rescue place or to their new homes were all rambunctious and acting normal the next morning after their surgeries. Their bald nether-regions look kind of kinky though ;D

yep, we be nerds in this house (but I need to learn to spell Worf!) The little girl next door, about, about 7 or 8 at the time, thought his name was "Warts" -- she asked her Dad if the cat had warts.

Might as well share a story.

An old coworker of mine in Phoenix had a pair of Yorkies that had puppies. Two of the four didn't make it from the start. They were trying to sell the last two, didn't want to name them because they didn't want to get too attached to them, but they were unable to sell them so they were calling them "Rent and Car Payment". I bought Rent, and I decided to keep the name, but I expanded it to "Rently" for his papers. The long form actually became the more popular form and everyone knew who Rently was.

I took him to work when I started working long hours at the ISP and he sort of became the mascot. He was everyones best friend. That dog had a talent, when people were pissed off, frustrated, and upset, which tended to happen in that place, he would seek them out. He would jump up in their laps and calm them down, and he did a good job of it. I don't know what triggered that instinct in him but he was the moral officer without a doubt.

Peanut butter huh?

No, I enjoyed giving that to my Boxer growing up, but I never gave it to my Yorky. I was eating Planters peanuts by the handful quite regularly back them. My old neighbor and I were sitting around, drinking beer, and eating peanuts. We kept tossing them to him.

What came out the next day could possibly be compared to runny peanut butter, but so, so not peanut butter. He spent the next couple of days pinned up in the bath tub.

It still makes me shudder to think of what came out of that dog and I had to clean up.
