I'm going to need a closer look at this upskirt video to make a full determination of what occurred and whether or not the students were in the wrong.

Hey, they're adults. Sex offender registry for life.

2012-05-10 05:07:20 PM
She should register her ownership of the performance with the copyright office, and then sue the two who illegally distributed the video for statutory damages. $150k would be a better deterrent than a year or two of probation and registration on a sex offender list.

The warrant said the video clearly showed the teacher's private areas.

Have they invented undergarments in Kentucky yet?

I'm surprised they even have 'private areas'.

Really, just how unfathomably stupid are these kids? Did they somehow think that they wouldn't get into deep shiat for posting that to Youtube? Not that it wasn't also disgusting in the first place, but really, publicly spreading this kind of thing goes well above and beyond the usual idiocy involved in this sort of thing.

Their punishment should be forced sterilization. We don't need any more chunkheads swimming in the shallow end of the genepool.

Maybe the teacher was a tramp and wearing a thong or perhaps a short skirts sans panties and was taunting the boys with her moist place of learning.

I thought in Kentucky, it was like feeding chickens: just throw it on the ground and late don't eat.

People who do dumb shiat and get caught by posting it online are, not surprisingly, a self-selecting group.

The local outrage probably stems from the fact that none of the boys in the class were close relatives of the teacher.

As a Republican, I am looking for some way to blame the teacher. Why can't she keep the students under control? She gets paid 150 grand for seven months' work, but she can't buy a pair of pants?

Damn lazy teachers.

i'll never understand all this hate for teachers, and why people paint such an exaggeration. They earn every cent of the $110 grand they earn in a year, and if you've met kids these days, you'll understand the necessity of the full medical and dental coverage that the teachers are entitled to. Two months off are much deserved and are almost necessary for sanity!

Monoxide is right. Teachers spend tens of thousands of dollars and devote at least two years to grad school and they earn a six-figure salary in their first year. Not only that, but they have the easiest time finding a job.

Taking photos up a womans skirt is violating her. It's not rape, but it's as much a violation as me shoving a camera down your pants to take a photo of your junk.

They also posted it on the internet, so now everyone has seen her panties/furburger and that could effect her future employment prospects.

Pretty sure this is sarcasm, but just in case....U.S. average starting salary is around 43k, here in Oregon, where I teach, it is closer to 34K.

I was indeed joking. Righties like to brag about how vulture capitalists like Rmoney EARN their millions of dollars for running companies into the ground on purpose. Teachers deserve to make a fraction of what they would make in other industries while putting up with loads of crap in a national climate that is increasingly anti-education. (But we always have off-the-books trillions for occupying countries halfway across the world.)

Kentucky teachers don't make anywhere close to $110K/year. My wife has two Masters and is working on her PhD in Education and is at the top pay bands of a special ed/P-12 teacher, and pulls in $32K/year.

\ Yes, I'm paying for her education
\\ If she's in a book, she's not bugging me...

Spoken like a person with a personal connection to the teaching profession. Don't get me wrong, you folks completely earn what you deserve, including the whining rights and pseudo denial of your remuneration, its part of the package.

Hey gimmegimme where do you live that requires 2 years of grad school for teaching? In my neck of the woods it requires an undergrad obviously, (but not to fear, it can be in an easy liberal art) and 1 year of education. I think to teach elementary you need 2 years of an education program.

Rereading your post I feel that you are engaging in acts of bad faith. Although I think you failed at it, because 'tens of thousands' isn't really much in the grand scheme of post secondary education. On a third thought though, you do mention the truth that it is easy for teachers to find jobs... unfortunately they might have to relocate to an area of the world where they don't feel that they are living and utilizing their intellectual capacity to the fullest. Unemployed teachers don't believe degrading yourself to such a level is an option, so I suppose it is a matter of perspective. That being said, you have full whining rights.

And I love you (assuming you're a teacher) every day when I submit a large portion of my ridiculously hard earned income (money is time baby, so we're talking a portion of my very existence) to support the entirety of your income and benefits. There are those of us who are far too busy generating wealth to spare even a few seconds of the remaining portion of our lives spending and utilizing it - so why not contribute to your safety net and ridiculously difficult and stressful job?
