Something I thought of during the trailer I saw during Avengers, if they're going all "destiny" and "fate" about his getting powers they should have went with "The Other" story line and just let him keep the organic web-spinners.

/Did the radiation enable the spider to give you powers, or was the spider trying to give you those powers before it died of the radiation? What came first, the powers or the radiation?

sure haven't: ZeroCorpse: Have you watched the full clip, where he continues and goes from "funny quip" to "raging douchebag"? Because that's what happens. He starts acting like a jock who is tormenting a nerd while he basically torments the criminal once he has already beaten him. That's not Peter Parker; That's Flash Thompson.

I agree 100%. Spider-Man is sarcastic yes, but he's never acted like... that.
That fake-whiny over the top doucheness isn't something he'd stoop to. He's more of a wisecracker. That scene is way too animated. Spidey never really acts out shiat like that.

He's done sh*t like that in the comics, and always learned a valuable lesson. In the 90's he let a guy believe he might feed on him when he was interrogating leads trying to find Carnage.

bukketmaster: I'm warming up to the new Spider-man and Emma Stone, obviously, but everything I've seen of the lizard just looks wrong. Why is his head round?

[files.g4tv.com image 600x331]

It seems like a small thing, but somehow that takes him from looking like a bad-ass human komodo dragon to loking like...well, I don't know but it looks kind of goofy, whatever it is. This design was handed to them on a silver platter, and they still screwed it up. WTF?

He was previously seen in Super Mario Brothers The Movie

brigid_fitch: He throws off silly one-liners in the middle of fights, which is exactly what he does in the comics.

were you asleep during spider man 1 and 2

Decillion: chewielouie: Some of you guys crack me up. A lot of you thought The Avengers trailer sucked and that the movie would also. Well, you were wrong.

So far, the trailers for Spider-Man look pretty darn good, with some of it looking better than Raimi's version. The only thing that made me groan a bit was his reaction to the thief pulling out a knife on him. Everything else looks pretty intriguing. I will admit that I am concerned to hear that J Jonah Jameson's character will not be in the movie. If that's true, I think it is a mistake.

Nevertheless, I'll most likely be there opening night, if not opening weekend, just like the rest of you.

You mean the thing that captured the spirit of Spider-Man better than any live action scene of him yet?

Ripping off Harold & Kumar? That's the spirit of Spider-Man?

He's been effectively replaced by Dennis Leary.

That's right. Not a typo. Dennis Leary.
