Yeah, "human" rights aren't for ALL humans, are they?

Bleeding hearts like this are a big reason why crime is such a huge issue. The best way to eliminate crime is to eliminate the criminals. Screw human rights for all. It's also not a coincidence that this happens after the administration was made to look stupid on immigration reform. They don't like AZ much.

Fluorescent Testicle: bunner: I don't think it's a matter of abdicating your human rights so much as, if you're running around committing hateful, ugly heinous crimes that deprive people of their property, their dignity and perhaps even their lives, you sort of abdicated your humanity.

Exactly what hateful, ugly, heinous, diginity-depriving crime did this person commit?

That's terrible. I know things like this go on in prisons around the world, but not in the US. It is terrible that no one was held accountable for this poor woman's death. Had this been a crime committed anywhere else, the DA's office would be ripping the offender to bits. It's obvious favors were made to protect "one of their own." There is no statute of limitations on negligent homicide in AZ, so it's not too late to prosecute.

Hopefully this whole mess in AZ gets some media attention.

Why don't we just fire this moron for the real scandal, his failure to investigate rape and child molestation.

Joe and Catholic Priests have something in common

(I used a link from fox news for the derp crowd.)

"In El Mirage alone, officials discovered at least 32 reported child molestations - with victims as young as 2 years old - where the sheriff's office failed to follow through, even though suspects were known in all but six cases. Many of the victims, said a retired El Mirage police official who reviewed the files, were children of illegal immigrants."

If you are in Sheriff Joe country, it is OK to rape and molest children, just so long as they are illegal immigrants.

True but not the larger point.

I don't get why rtards try to to use the NBPP against Obama and Holder and the DOJ.

Well, I do and I don't.

I do in the sense that it is more race baiting from a party that has come to define itself by bigotry.

I don't in the sense that pointing out that Fox News, the GOP's propaganda arm, spent an alarming portion of election day 2008 replaying video of the "scary blah men" over and over and over and over again makes them look like the race baiting bigots they are.

Beyond whatever Bush or Obama's administration did in regards to these idiots (even the old Black Panther Party thinks these guys are dingbats) the fact that the GOP in 2008 were still working their Southern Strategy at the top of their lungs should, for people looking clearly at the situation, be a clear warning sign.

"Here Be Bigots".

Seriously, anyone wanna try to explain how FOX's use of the video of these guys on election day in 2008 (and subsequently) was anything other than out and out race baiting from the party that defines itself by bigotry?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Rik01: So, when we catch these animals, we have to treat them better than the homeless living on the streets who are trying to stay OUT of prison?

Caring for the homeless and providing for the welfare of the citizens the state has forcibly incarcerated are not mutually exclusive. Other than in a "all public spending is related" sort of way they issues are more or less orthogonal.

So if you're unhappy with the standard of living among the homeless you should probably address that issue directly -- limiting or reducing the welfare of prisoners will not improve the plight of the homeless any more than banning left turn signals would reduce crime.

It's basically the opposite of what you think it is.

I'm not 100% up to date on RICO stuff, it's been a little while, but if memory serves.... you need
1) A criminal organization (read; Anything... honestly.... it's anything...)
2) 2 predicate felonies in a timeframe (I forget exactly, but I think it's in years..)
3) A patterm

A CHILD could make an office football pool indictable under RICO.... a girl scout troup.... seriously.... RICO is EASY.

Yeah. RICO was created specifically to make it EASIER To charge criminal organizations (Read: the mafia) with significant charges, even though they couldn't make other charges stick.

Man is a farking joke parading around. This is one of those "protect the children" lawyers. He also does whatever pays him more. See his support of ACTA as well:

"U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder stated that "intellectual property crimes are not victimless. The theft of ideas and the sale of counterfeit goods threaten economic opportunities and financial stability, suppress innovation and destroy jobs."" Yes, let's take a law designed to criminalize the world, and generalize it to say that all intellectual property crimes are the same as real theft and copyright infringement.

Biological Ali: TsukasaK: ongbok: So now it is somehow illegal for a group of citizens to offer a reward for the CAPTURE of somebody?

Ehhhhhhhh....

This is a legitimate question, but is it legally permissible for private citizens to put a bounty on someone? I know I'd be more than a little bit scared for my life if the Black Panthers were hunting for me for any reason.

Well, it's possible that they were playing up a "citizen's arrest" angle there. Now, a citizen's arrest might not even be strictly applicable in that situation but it might not necessarily rise to the level of a solicited kidnapping either. Zimmerman was eventually indicted too; it wasn't like they were offering someone money to just grab random white guys and lock them in basements.

How is offering money to "capture" somebody who is not wanted by the police not solicited kidnapping?

I am glad Sheriff Joe is going down (although I have no problem with his chain gangs), but people who think it is ok for the DOJ to ignore rewards for capture of people has their head up their ass.

He has made it clear he has no problem violating the rights of 20 people to catch one criminal, and has gone out of his way to defy his superiors and the courts on multiple occasions. In just about any other county he'd have been voted out years ago, and he should have.

I've always found an ignore list on Fark to be odd. I have yet to ever use it although I know quite a few people have put me on theirs when they accused me of one thing or another, which was most always untrue. At the same time quite a few people who are more articulate than me have bested me in debates or discussions, but not once have I ever used ignore list. My question is that, Why the fark do you even come to a site like Fark where making fun of everything is the norm? Like someone else above said, you must be some kind of pussy.
