The libs don't like Tebow coming to the Jets but they love the gangsters who father kids out of wedlock who are on the team. So typical.

I'm sure Delta's decision ultimately had nothing to do with them putting a manger scene between some lady's spread legs as a gag. It's about this guy's views on Jews.

Why does it matter who told them? Their name is attached to the show as an advertiser, and they decided that's not the kind of humor the Atlanta, Georgia-based company wants to be associated with. Maybe there's another airline out there who can step up and who doesn't have a large customer base that might be have an issue with a comedian replacing a woman's genitals with one of their holy symbols. Spirit Air, for example....

Well no one can argue that Hollywood isn't controlled by Jews, I mean that's just plain numbers but the idea that they hate Christianity is obviously in the realm of paranoia.

Because, if you had read my entire comment, it shows a lot about who they listen to.

But I can't expect someone like you to read all the way through a comment.

They run ads on shows with much more offensive content. Why was the Daily Show gag offensive in the slightest?

Delta has kind of been being dickwads towards MSP since they acquired Northwest. Guess this is what they're doing to try to make me stop flying them all together. Kind of a PITA to work around, considering we're still one of their hubs, but it'll be better than doing business with a shiat company.

Conservatives were saying it should be ILLEGAL for businesses to boycott Rush and are now cheering businesses that boycott Stewart.

Big difference.

I've been a catholic for 34 years and I just don't understand why I'm supposed to be offended by that gag. I actually watched that episode, coincidentally. The vagina in question was being use as a symbol of its baby-making role, not for something lurid.

You'd think we Catholics would be quite familiar with that of all things.

"It's not enough to get an apology out of Rush Limbaugh. They want him off the air. He was still exercising his First Amendment rights," Keith Appell, the Senior VP for CRC Public Relations, told POLITICO. "Trying to get someone off the air sounds like something out of the old Soviet Union."

MSCO CEO Mark Stevens told Varney and Company about the campaign against his company to stop him from advertising with Rush Limbaugh. He emphatically says that the story isn't getting out, that this isn't a boycott, but rather an organized terrorist action.

I'll admit that I'll probably keep with Delta at least until the end of the year. With gold medallion status, it's hard to give up those sweet, sweet upgrades. I'll comfort my conscience by consuming as many free drinks as possible. Yeah, that's the ticket. A protest!

I'm reluctant to step into a thread like this, but I have a genuine question.

TFA says Donohue is taking credit for Delta's decision, but there is no mention of Delta's comments. Has Delta made any comment regarding Donohue or the Catholic League?

If not, I suspect this is more of an attention whoring moment by Donohue than any actual influence he wields with Delta.

I didn't see anything said by Appell in that article that comes anywhere close to mentioning that the power and force of the government should be used to estop the boycotters. Did I miss something?

And as far as Stevens goes, what he categorized as an "organized terrorist attack" in that interview wasn't the general call to stop advertising on Rush's show--it was the veiled and not-so-veiled threats levied at specific employees at his firm part of the boycott movement. As far as that goes--yeah, it sounds like there might be some legal problems with employing such tactics. I haven't heard of anyone contacting employees at Delta telling them "we have you under surveillance" or something similar.

Initial stories stated the decision has nothing to do wih the Cathloic League, but updated stories have replaced that with a vague statement about not discriminating. They have not said the decision was the direct result of any content they found offensive whatsoever. Mostly, Donahue is claiming victory in a perfect example of "post hoc ergo propter hoc" and.nobody is really challenging him on it.

Subby, you say that as if it wasn't true...

List of Jewish Actors

The majority of successful actors are of Jewish origin. The amount of jewish actors is not proportional to jewish population in the States.
But not just a difference of a few points, no. It's tens of points of difference, which you can't put on coincidence.

Jews control Hollywood, the more they deny it, the more hypocritical they look.

Delta isn't that great of an airline anyways, from things I've read. And Delta getting all upset over anything done on the Daily show is as funny as Rush Limbaugh's advertisers all of a sudden upset over things he says. How can these advertisers be shocked over anything either Rush or Jon does?

We're all impressed by your incredible Google-fu skills. Would you care to magic up a single reference where any of the people you've helpfully listed for us have gone on record as "hating Christianity?"

Because that was kind of the point. That you missed.

By the way, list would be more impressive if it didn't list dead people like River Phoenix, Corey Haim, and Dustin Diamond.

rocky_howard: Jews control Hollywood, the more they deny it, the more hypocritical they look.

Subby didn't specifically imply that was false. He quoted the asshole the article was about and made sure to mention the whole "hating christians" part.

Wait, why are you listing jewish actors? Actor =/= control

Control = Business, and that is something the jewish people have excelled at for ages. I'm not sure if it's their culture in general, or their religion, but hey, they have the necessary drive and the intelligence to do it, more power to them. You sound jealous.

There are enough of any given job in hollywood that are non-jewish as to make your conspiracy theories laughable. Sure, you can get blackballed for being a Mel Gibson styled ranter, but being a generic white/black/atheist/christian does not hurt your chances, but being an asshole does. There's only the talented, the untalented, and the socially unacceptable.(and note, many jewish people that fark up are just as prone to being blacklisted)

They could control hollywood, but they don't, they simply run their businesses.

Christians could control the us, and they certainly try via voting, and even succeed with some notable success. That's what happens when a majority enforces it's morals, that's what it looks like.

No take a look at hollywood again, and tell me the jews control it.

Oh please... It's a reflection of the control, not the control itself. (Although some of those are stars with veto power or producers too)

Control = Business, and that is something the jewish people have excelled at for ages. I'm not sure if it's their culture in general, or their religion, but hey, they have the necessary drive and the intelligence to do it, more power to them. You sound jealous.

Awwww, the "you're just jealous" card. Why would I be jealous?

So you admit that they control Hollywood, got it.

There are enough of any given job in hollywood that are non-jewish as to make your conspiracy theories laughable. Sure, you can get blackballed for being a Mel Gibson styled ranter, but being a generic white/black/atheist/christian does not hurt your chances, but being an asshole does. It does when they hire jewish people in a exceedingly higher proportion than what the actual jewish population would lead you to think.

They could control hollywood, but they don't, they simply run their businesses.

Which according to you, means they do control Hollywood.

Although you seem to have a weird definition of control. Most powerful producers are Jewish Hence they control the business.
Also, I'm not saying they have a cabal with sinister purposes, that'd be ridiculous, but they could dissipate all these bullshiat theories if they accepted they control the business instead of playing victim. They also control the deli business and you don't see them making a fuss about it.

Truth of the matter is, Jews have held segments of powers disproportional to their population numbers across history (probably due to the reasons you listed), and they've been punished in the past for it. They probably learned to keep quiet about it. I understand them.
