It's a shame that the Fish & Game folks can't do anything about video ads popping up in the middle of news articles.

I recall some federal agency, I don't remember which, putting it's intimidating badge on the screen of arcade games in the eighties.
There was some scary warning; I don't remember if it was about piracy, drugs or what; clearly the message was lost on me.

What I do remember clearly was seeing this on an arcade machine in the United Arab Emirates, and the local kids laughing at these idiots thinking that the message was important in a land where they had no offices and no jurisdiction (and little English, for that matter).

Yep, that was the FBI, and it was a pretty weird thing to put in games... Although I suppose it made sense for that pill-popper Pacman.

I'm not sure Fish & Game handles that sort of thing. Sounds like that would be EPA.

So I am not sure why you are whining.

Or is this just a Fark "still no cure for cancer" kinda thing?

There are some laws that are necessary. There are some that are really really stupid.

This is one of the latter.

I can see the Fish&Game coming in to take away a freshly killed and stuffed hawk or wolverine, but taking away one that has been sitting around for a century and probably nobody in the bar now even knows where it came from? That's like "seizing a prohibited weapon" that turns out to be an antique blunderbuss from the 14th century because it violates the latest assault-rifle guidelines.

This is why I hate bureaucrats.

As long as you blame the legislators and not the fish and game flunkies. The former wrote the stupid law. The latter are damned if they enforce it and damned if they don't.
