I just paid off my 2006 Harley Sportster XL1200C and I'm thinking about upgrading to a Wide Glide or Fat Bob. I'll stick to a new bike instead of a smoldering pile of twisted metal.

Mine is a '90 Honda with just under 90,000 miles and I too only have about 7 good months and a couple of iffy weeks at either end. I got in in '95 with about 3000 on it and have put over 50,000 more miles among four other bikes since '95.

The Bobby Petrino motorbike? Sure it has value, but I'm going to have to get the front end worked on, and frankly there just isn't a big market for these things. I'm going to have to find the right buyer, and frankly these things just aren't moving right now. I can give you... $100 and that's it! I'm taking a big chance on this as it is.

He should call his buddy who is an expert on motorcycles Bobby petrino rode with mistresses on the back before crashing and gaining national exposure and then getting fired. He'll know the real deal on a bike like this.

2008 Harley Crossbones. Bought it brand new in 2009 and have put only 14,000 miles on it. I guess I'm just a poser.

I don't get it. I bought mine at the tail end of the riding season last year. I don't get to ride it much during the week since I don't feel like waking up extra early and making extra trips to drop my son off at daycare then go home and pick up the bike to go work, and reverse the process after work. I only get to ride every other weekend or so when my parents watch my kid for me so I get a little free time, and I still put on almost as many miles as that dude did in a whole hell of a lot less time.

2012-05-09 05:53:43 PM
someone will pick it up as a donor bike. Would be a steal for a project.

Why buy a bike and not ride it? Bought a bigger bike (07 road king) last fall after selling a Sportster and have put 12,000 miles on it. It had only 11k when I got it.

I have one Harley with just under twenty thousand miles, but I also have five other bikes, a truck, a hot rod, and an old VW. Can't ride 'em all at once, but I do ride them as often as possible.

Rode my VStar 1100 to work today, only 9 miles round trip though...

just goes to show you, foodies, beer snobs...doesn't matter....a man that works 11 months of the year and spends the other one banging a younger soon to be married chick, along with balancing a wife and kids doesn't put enough miles on his bike....I bet he thinks Pabst is overrated, and 20 bucks for a good steak is too much...
