That being said, Paul asked Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen a very fair, very well-asked question as a follow-up to controversy that was sparked by comments about Fidel Castro last month.

Fair, well-asked? This controversy is a month old. While I don't agree with Ozzie dropping f-bombs on the radio, I think that he had a right to get bent out of shape. As far as I am concerned, this was an ambush question and not relevant to the situation at hand, which was probably a pre- or post game interview.

Ozzie has always been an idiot. They were playing an old "This Week in Baseball" from the 80's. They showed Ozzie at first, being picked off after the first baseman pretended to throw the ball back to the pitcher. Now, this never works, but you say, give him a pass, it happens. Next clip, same week, different team, they fool him the exact same way again. Nobody should be that stupid. You could tell in Mel Allen's voice that he thought Ozzie was a moron.

It's what Ozzie should have said to the first person who asked him about the comments a month ago.

Ozzie can't speak without fbombs. You don't interview him without a delay.

Yes, let's rid baseball of the Ozzie Guillens and replace them all with bloodless corporate binder-toting stat-worshipers who don't say "hi" to the press without running it by the GM first.

Farking hell, I miss Earl Weaver.
