I'm surprised they waited a few more days.

Will there be two relevant post-credit sequences and two irrelevant ones?

That movie was awful!!! The special effects were way WAY below my standards. I could do stuff like that on my computer at home!!! Also, the acting was HORRIBLE!!! I can't believe that people are actually watching this movie, it is just a polished turd!!!

Are they setting it up for Hulk to be the "bad guy" in the future?

Where did you guys dig this up? The government's "No shiat, Sherlock!" Department?

They're making an Avengers sequel. In related news, water is wet, grass is green and fire is really farking hot!

Shwarma.. never heard of it before this movie, but after looking it up, it sounds good..

Ruffalo owned the Hulk.

Not unexpected, but I was hoping they might squeeze in a couple more origin movies for a couple other characters and then bring them in as additions for Avengers 2.

But this is Hollywood, you got the ride while the tide is high.

Moments like that make me love Tony Stark and Joss Whedons humor.

From a random Google search:
Gyro is the Greek word, Doner is the Turkish word and Schwarma is the Arabic word. They all describe the same preparation: some kind of meat spit roasted. The type of meat depends on the region, for example pork is the favorite in Greece, but you won't find pork Doner or Schwarma. Lamb, beef and chicken are common across all 3. I know it seems confusing but if you just think about it as ways to describe the same meat preparation in different languages then its easier. Also, some gyro/schwarma/doner is with ground meat but this is usually the inferior stuff, look for the real stuff which is spit roasted chunks of meat. If you are looking for pork or chicken, BZ Grill in Astoria is amazing.

I adore Doners, so I would adore schwarma.

I'm actually surprised it took this long. Usually when a movie is on target to be as large as this one ism the sequel gets greenlit before the first even hits theaters.

They probably will. I imagine retaining the services of Downey, Ruffalo, Scarlett, Evans and the rest will only get more expensive. I would not be surprised to see a few characters make their way in to replace, say, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they took Iron Man out. The obvious choices to put in would be Wasp and Ant-Man. Maybe even Ms. Marvel.

I'm only interested if Joss Whedon is directing it.

I doubt Disney would be stupid enough to replace him.

Marvel is notoriously cheap on directors. Don't be surprised if they don't wanna pay Joss .0001% of total gross and make him a billionaire.

That's what scares me most.

Alexis Denisov didn't voice Thanos, he voiced the underling or go-between Chitauri guy (credited as The Other). In any case I second your notion

I just want Coulson back. It's a Superhero franchise, people coming back from the dead isn't that far fetched.

Someone came up with the theory that Coulson wasn't Human but actually the Vision. Coulson had no blood family, no wife/husband or kids. His background besides being an adorable fanboy and a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent is unknown. And the fact that Fury said, "They took my one good eye" could be a hint to Coulson was/is the "Vision" as well as Fury saying that "Coulson is down" rather than "dead." could mean that Coulson is not a flesh and blood Human.

Okay, I have my fingers cross because this is Whedon and I can see him doing this.

I may be mistaken, but I believe in ensemble cast situations like this, actors often bypass salary increases in exchange for box office percentages, royalties and other forms of revenue that end up being more profitable in the end.

Damn fine movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will watch again. Even the wife, more of a "period drama" kind of person, had a good time.

Weren't they all signed to 6+ movie deals? Wouldn't the details for future movies already be in their contracts?

Funny. I accepted Coulson's death as the mandatory human sacrifice Whedon invokes in all of his movies (like Wash, Penny, etc.)

So, Avengers 2 = Avengers (inc. Ant Man, Wasp & Dr. Strange) + Guardians of the Galaxy vs. Thanos? Will it end with Thanos putting his costume on a scarecrow?

SO. Let's talk Firefly season 2.

Yeah, I bet Whedon when into the script with, "Who can I kill off?". The execs said, "Not Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Widow, Hawkeye, or Fury. We need them."

"Coulson it is!" [scribbles] ...stab/shoot/axe Wash Anya Tara Coulson to death unexpectedly

I'm glad i was ambiguous enough to not spoil anything. There is schwarma related humor, that makes you crave delicious schwarma.

If you are ever in Atlanta, go to Antatolia Cafe on Peachtree across from woodruff park and the big ass sun trust building, it's a Turkish restaurant / hookah bar 2 friends of mine own (2 brothers). They make fantastic gyros, schwarma, and kebabs, and sometimes their mother is there and prepares some of the best food i've ever eaten.

Seriously, go there.

Meh, I think that is only because he had limited scenes. Don't get me wrong, I like Ruffalo, but there is a reason they are making Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 yet haven't announced anything for a Hulk 2. I don't think Ruffalo can carry his own movie. He is an awesome supporting actor though.

Only when he was in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet.

I dunno man, he's pretty busy these days teaching people how to use the bathroom correctly (some brief NSFW language).
