Wind Chimes: I live in one of the counties in WV that Obama lost. Many people I know voted against Obama in the primary with the intention to send a message to Obama and his administration about the "war on coal". Obama is unpopular, especially in the southern counties, because a lot of coal miners have been laid off in recent months, at least one local coal company I know of declared bankruptcy and all those men lost their jobs/benefits, and the general populace appears to be laying the blame at the feet of the current administration and the EPA.

That's the one thing I will NEVER understand about my neighbors 20 miles to the west of me: Every WVa native I've ever talked to including the coal miners, ESPECIALLY, the coal miners, HATE coal. They hate the Coal companies, they hate the damage mining does to thier state, and every single miner, to a man, hates the process of mining and swears they will do everything in their mortal power to make sure thier children don't follow them down into the mines.

Yet when they percieve that anyone is "dissing" coal, or soomehow making it less necessary, they get all up in arms and swear their undying allegience to coal and coal mining as way of life.

Robert's Rules of Order says that in such a situation the delegates are automatically committed to the man whose biatch he was, or absent proof of such a relationship, the delegates devolve to whomever he owed the most cigarettes to.
