Didn't they sell a load of patents to Yahoo! in Q1? Can't do that indefinitely, unless you are generating new troll grade patents.

There isn't much the company can do about the continuing slide in its dial-up Internet connections,

Yeah, but they still have a huge number of customers who despite connecting to the internet using cable internet, still pay for AOL's dial up connect -- it's pretty much the source of all their revenue.

And their long range strategic plan is to basically be a news aggregator and generate fluff news stories that have been written in such a way that they get easily picked up by keyword searches. So I wouldn't be rushing to buy their stock.

AOL and MySpace should get together and pool their resources.

I read a story via AOL.com yesterday. I envisioned the people at the offices of AOL noticed the increase in traffic, and started high fiving each other and they suddenly got really hopeful about the future.
