Did someone finally remind the Lakers that they can close out the series by winning this game?

C'Mon Denver, close this game up!

2012-05-09 01:07:54 AM
In 20 games McGee put up 10 points and 6 boards in only 20 minutes a game. Nene played in 11 games in washington and put up 14.5 and 7.5.

21 and 13 tonight for McGee. We completely jobbed washington on that trade.

Denver desperately trying to piss the game away.

2012-05-09 01:16:39 AM
Ok Denver, Kobe turned off God mode. You HAVE to hit your free throws now.

2012-05-09 01:17:16 AM
Ugh.. and now the last 20 seconds for the next half hour.

He always does that to us. The whole rape thing and our crowd constantly booing him makes him play with a little extra against the nuggets.

2012-05-09 01:20:05 AM
Oh no. Sessions with the harder then it looked 3.

2012-05-09 01:20:35 AM
Nice miller. 1 more stop.

2012-05-09 01:20:42 AM
This game is finally getting good, I want double OT.

2012-05-09 01:20:58 AM
Say what you will, Denver does pretty well without having a "superstar" player.

2012-05-09 01:21:02 AM
Nailed 'em!

/ok, "nailed" might be a bit strong for the first one

2012-05-09 01:21:25 AM
So do you run a play to find any open wing guy or give it to Kobe?

2012-05-09 01:22:16 AM
Kobe.

2012-05-09 01:22:24 AM
Get it to Sessions.

And the bullet is dodged.

Ya'll need to hit your free throws.

2012-05-09 01:24:46 AM

fark Andrew Bynum. fark him long and fark him hard. Goddamnit the Lakers aren't doing shiat unless Kobe takes him out back and beats his brains in w/ a goddamn tire iron. Gasol didn't do shiat either, but Bynum ran his farking mouth like he did jack all in 2009/2010. JaFail McGee beat his ass tonight. farking cripes, we need to trade Bynum and shoot Jimmy Buss into the goddamn sun.

farking cripes.

I think Kobe is the problem, not Bynum. The team does better when bynum has the ball in his hand, but with Kobe on the wing he absolutely has to get x number of touches NO MATTER WHAT. Bynum gets frustrated and checks out a little bit. Can't blame him.

i would agree half of the time. mainly because Bynum is always 50/50. i admit my bias in favor of Kobe, but these last two games showcase why he is so great. last game Kobe was willing to pass late in the game because guys were playing up. tonight, he saw that wasn't the case, and went for 40+. you could say he still could have tried to get them going, but if he always felt that way the '06 Lakers never make it to the playoffs (not saying this team is nowhere near as bad...well, Coaching...)

personally, i believe that Bynum opened his mouth, and didn't deliver. Kobe was fortunate to have a HOF player in his early years, but didn't rest on his laurels (some may say to the detriment of the team). Bynum has one or two HOF (depending on Pau) players and just seems, to me, as just expecting greatness to come.

i know Bynum's worked hard, but mentally he worries me. it seems like he picked up O'Neal's penchant to say things, but...i hate saying this because of my bias...not backing it up.

i know he's young. hope he logs in and sees this and it fires him up =)

Kobe is one of the top 5 players of all time. I personally cant stand him because he has a penchant for send the Nuggets home for the year. But favoring Bynum over Kobe is crazy talk.

I think this article raises some good points. Kobe was 14 of 32 tonight, Bynum 6 for 8. Why is a dominant big only getting 8 looks while Kobe is jacking up 32 shots?

That was a really interesting article. I didn't realize there was such a huge disparity in their usage rates.

You are right in that they need to get him the ball more but I think part of it has to do with the Nuggets keying on him after he absoluly brutalized them in game 1.

Agree, and even Phil Jackson would rail on Kobe when he spent too much time taking low-percentage jump shots instead of finding Shaq inside for high-percentage dunks and layups.
