That is the thing though... celebrities (that already don't have leaked sex tapes or cell phone photos) are about the only thing Playboy can make an argument for looking at them vs. the vast porno wasteland of the internet.

Other than that, all Playboy has is some occasionally good articles, and the value of the "brand/logo", which is also not going up year after year either. The youth of today don't look at Playboy as some sort of "standard barer" of the nude female form like even 15-20 years ago. The internet has pretty much killed that aspect of their business, which diminishes the power/value of the company overall.

And once Hef dies, it will really fall off the cliff. I mean, he is essentially the equivalent of a living mascot for Playboy at this point... him and the "Mansion" is still something even celebrities today talk about "Hey, I was at the Playboy Mansion, partying with Hef!". Once Hef is gone, nobody is going to care about that.
