I'm not ignoring what was said, i'm just calling bullshiat. Leaving Phoenix wouldn't kill or hurt the NHL. I'm not advocating a full departure from the Sun Belt. Just basic business sense in that after nearly 2 decades of losing millions (and that number growing because of inflation and the rising salary cap), you admit that some of your franchise decisions were a failure.

Just how high do you think that percentage is going to grow? Do you think the KHL is going to appeal more to the European player, resulting in the American player taking his spot? (serious questions)

You can call bullshiat all you want, but I think any short-term losses made by keeping the franchise in Phoenix with competent management (a huge difference than in the last 14 years) will be completely outweighed by the long-term benefit the NHL will gain once the competent management turns the team around.

As for your second question...most players have seemed to find that the KHL is what it was predicted to be; an AHL-quality league that is willing to throw money at free agents and has the legitimacy and organization of the Russian Mob. It seems that most free agents go to the KHL for the quick payday before convincing some sucker-NHL GM to take them back (see Radulov, Jagr, Emery). That being said, I think in the next 20-30 years, the NHL will be 35% Canadian, 35% American, and 30% European.

Buy the Coyotes, then move them to a city that actually gives a damn about hockey.

miskatonic86: I have absolutely no knowledge of the sport of hockey.
