Old system (all shootouts are ties, no OTL point): 83 points, 7th place

The risk of things flying into the crowd makes it necessary to prevent obscured sightlines. Therefore it's considered polite to watch the game while sitting, unless something particularly exciting is happening -- i.e., last 10 seconds of a big win or something like that. You aren't allowed to get up or return to your seat during play for this reason, and you have to wait for a break in the action.

i thought maybe, as i said above, the NHL had a kind of "no standing during play, upon pain of ejection" rule like in EPL.

i haven't been to a 'Yotes game ever. i only watch hockey during Game 7s / olympics. pretty farking cool game, even if i don't understand icing or the neutral zone trap. or crosschecking. and crosschecking...that's when they check in the back, right? how come when the puck gets behind the net there's no crosschecking then? cats are all the time getting checked in the back.
