(Fark)   I'm eating some Braunschweiger for the first time in a couple of years. I'm sorry, Braunschweiger. None of those other deli meats mean anything to me. It's only you, Braunschweiger   (fark.com ) divider line

You just like it because you can eat it without your dentures in, and it looks EXACTLY the same when you eat it and poop it out, Gramps.

Oh gross. That's almost as bad as pickled bologna.

People who eat flesh but not organs.

Are they really carnivores?

And subby - was it braunshweiger, liverwurst, or liver sausage?
There is a difference in the fat content, etc.

Nope.
Omnivores.

Braunschweiger is awesome! Especially on rye bread with some strong mustard and chopped onions.

Nope.
Omnivores.

Omnivores because they don't eat organs? I've had cats, dogs, a biatchin' boa constrictor, a tarantula, hell I even had a Venus fly trap, and they ate it all.

Okay, the cats left the lower gut.

Came here to say this, but specify that they should be red onions, and the rye should be toasted. Plus a slice of some sharp cheddar.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about. Liver pâté with same is a nearly orgasmic experience.

I wish! I don't have any. I'm thinking seeded rye. It's some made by that ex con Dave guy. I haven't tried it yet but it smells great.

crustades, fois gras or chicken/pork pate and onions/cheese or whatever. No right or wrong way, they're all discustingly delicious.

Also, calves liver sauteed in butter and onions and served with real mashed taters are also heavenly

It's hard to get it here in Chicago, even, because people buy it up, 3-4 loaves at a time as soon as the bakery delivers it. It's the best bread in the world. Rye bread of any sort is the best bread in the world.

Bon appetit!

I thought omnivore just meant that food sources come from the plant kingdom and the animal kingdom, to be simplistic.
I imagine it would have been very difficult for early man to pass muster without muscle tissue etc. as part of their diet.
But I have no doubt there are many ideas on the matter.

Don't you think early man had PLENTY to worry about without having to think about high cholesterol?

//sorry, just quoting something a vegetarian once ranted at me.
