catastrophe averted: The way it's going, Joonyer is gonna win the race by being the last car standing.

I'd be okay with that.

2012-05-06 04:49:07 PM
Official race Mikey out

2012-05-06 04:49:09 PM
Well, I guess that makes the race official.

Not Mikey's fault, though.

2012-05-06 04:49:24 PM
Dang Wallmindinger. Hopefully Keselowski can hold off Kyle and perhaps take this thing.

2012-05-06 04:49:24 PM
Damn it, Mikey got hit. I was thinking it was looking like everyone was wrecking so he'd be the only one left.

catastrophe averted: Aw jeez.... the stupid is ON now

This show is just missing cream pies and seltzer bottles to complete the circle.

2012-05-06 04:50:30 PM
Wallmendinger tried to block Hamlin, turned too sharp, and BOOM! there it is.

2012-05-06 04:50:43 PM
That was wild, Kevin Harvick turned left immediately after contact about the middle and still hit the outside wall...

2012-05-06 04:50:50 PM

GardenWeasel: Jensaarai: Great restart, guys.

That was CART-like

Is it weird that Indycar, the series notorious for the shiattiest rolling restarts in all of motorsports, is actually doing a more professional job than NASCAR? Even with the design flaw at Sao Paulo, they have been pretty good.

*ding*
Cleanup in turn 3. We have a cleanup in turn 3.

I'm waiting for the fez and bicycle horn brigade to jump out of the pace car for chinese fire drills

2012-05-06 04:51:47 PM
And Hamlin just blew his own left rear quarter-panel up via a tire that blowed up.

Jenna Fryer @JennaFryer
Quickie yellow my a$$, Hamlin just exploded

Kahne has been saving up all of his luck points for this race.

Who is going to run out of gas?

Denny Hamlin: THIS is how you shred a car!

2012-05-06 04:53:26 PM
I've never seen a car self-destruct like that over a blown-tire.

Jensaarai: Cautions breed Krashlowskis.

LOL

That's something I've never understood, why don't they move the fuel pickup?

2012-05-06 04:53:34 PM

Dumb-Ass-Monkey: On the plus side, Kurt just gained a lot of positions.

How did Kurt NOT get penalized for driving backwards down pit road?

cig-mkr: Who is going to run out of gas?

all of them

2012-05-06 04:53:59 PM
Hmm. With all the debris out there, should they red flag? I mean, it's going to be a GWC, but one slow puncture as a result of all these broken cars rolling around dropping shiat is going to make for a mess.

On the other hand, stopping the cars may fry a few motors.

Been only half-watching; non-farker is over trying to get Skype to work on his Asus EeePad Transformer so I can share my screen with him. So far, no go.

Kyle Busch in position to get 2 in a row and piss everyone off HAHA!

Happens all the time.

They're letting Danica run at Darlington? That will end well.

I don't know if there's any rule against doing that.

NASCAR officials probably just thought that someone had slipped in a DVD and didn't realize it was the real race.

2012-05-06 04:54:55 PM
Gah, I'll miss Darlington next week.

/Have we had a crotchgrabber sighting today?

2012-05-06 04:54:55 PM
Hmm, Since this year has not been as good as it has been. I wonder how bad Darlington is going to be... I mean, Bristol was mucked up by these changes.

2012-05-06 04:55:19 PM

soaboutthat: That's something I've never understood, why don't they move the fuel pickup?

Because when they are at speed all the fuel sloshes over to the right

2012-05-06 04:55:20 PM

Digitalstrange: Kyle Busch in position to get 2 in a row and piss everyone off HAHA!

I'm okay with this. Punt the 2 while you're at it for great brotherly justice, Kyle.

I keed.

2012-05-06 04:55:48 PM

GardenWeasel: Happens all the time.

I've seen blown tires tear apart the front plenty of times, but rear tire failures seem to always be non-events. Not c-panel and rear-window-destroying explosions.

2012-05-06 04:55:50 PM
Jet blower on the track.

Where's Montoya?

soaboutthat: That's something I've never understood, why don't they move the fuel pickup?

It's the most efficient place when you're at speed. Moving it would make cars run out earlier under green.

Gonz: They're letting Danica run at Darlington? That will end well.

Darlington will be her *really* official "Welcome to NASCAR, little girl!" race.

2012-05-06 04:56:23 PM

Penoatle: Also, hour long, expanded coverage.... I just see them pointing out the obvious, I would rather them expand the commercials over this.

They did that today too

2012-05-06 04:56:58 PM
So I guess you could say, Kevin Harvick....*puts on sunglasses*...got reamed.

Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh!!

2012-05-06 04:57:22 PM
I think unless we have an amazing come from behind winner we can safely name the bonehead of the race now.

2012-05-06 04:57:48 PM
All the other cars are falling apart quickly, while the 17 has decided to go slow with the cracks
