msnbcmedia.msn.com This, my friends, is "empty". A mere ten times the people that Romney had at his biggest rally. But I guess comparing numbers would be unfair.

Still, I'll grant you this: it is, in fact, harder to get people out to a rally when they already know that you're going to be the nominee. As for "enthusiasm", are RepubliTards really trying to claim that they're "enthused" about Romney? Really? Frankly, the Republicans are doing more to fire up the Democratic base than they are to fire up their own, which I guess is why they have to resort to idiocy like this.

The Lone Gunman: ghare: EnviroDude: Only cutting taxes for the wealthy can create jobs!

What about legislating what women can do? That's an important thing for jobs too!

And teh gheys!

Okay, I work as a massage therapist (and at 12 years exp, there's no joke I haven't heard a billion times #preempt) and I can tell you that that's crap. If you tax the rich about 5% more and give that money to the middle class and working class in the form of tax cuts, they'll spend it. And they'll spend it locally, which is to say domestically. Rich people are more likely to vacation in foreign countries (Carribbean, Mexico, Europe, etc) than people who are not rich.

Also, there's a difference between quality spending and quantity spending. Quality spending is buying luxury items, like Masarati, where one person takes a commission for the sale and it be considerable. In other words, they don't need to sell many to make a good living. Quantity spending is buying a lower-priced, more practical item/service, like a Ford Escort, which sells so many that multiple people can make commissions and more need to be sold to make a living.

The money made from quality spending (more likely to be done by the rich) circulates money amongst a small number of people, while quantity spending (more likely to be done by middle/working class people) circulates money among a considerably larger number of people.

All of this money will, one way or another, come back to the owner of the dealership (most likely a 1%er), so they end up making back the money they spent in taxes in the first place.

In other words, everybody wins with quantity spending. And that's way raising taxes on the wealthy ($1m+ per year) and lowering it on the middle class ($250k a year and under) will put this economy back on track.

Why do you hate Americas Job Creators?

Oh yeah, almost forget.. SOCIALIST!!!

It's 9:30 on the west coast here and we already have a Not-so-bright-Bart link, a Nutclusters link and a tReason (the T is silent but deadly) link.

70,000-seat stadium which attracted just over 1,000 people. So 1.4%.

You libtards suck at math - obviously, 1,000 is more than 70.

Derp has been on the rise recently, and will only get worse from here. Expect headlines to get more bitter, temper tantrum and full of lies. they can't even make them somewhat humorous.

Yeah, but I'll still take it over the pandering and completely stupid blame Romney offers. Voting for Romney would help the Republican party become more powerful, and the Republican party has gone a combination of utterly retarded and absolutely batshiat insane in the last 12 years.

And this from someone who has never voted for a Democrat for POTUS in his whole life.

Yeah, whatever happened to those two guys?

They stood outside of a polling place in Philly...and, living here, I'm not certain that there were so many GOPs to intimidate. A conservative blogger started to cover them as they were being taken away and two conservative lawyers yelled at him to stop reporting on it because they already had it covered. And, and this is the part that gets me, we never heard from them again.

Now, one could whine about a liberal media conspiracy, but surely Fox News would be interested in talking to those two, right? And they wanted to be visible enough to be seen at a polling place and had all these pictures taken of them but not enough to go on friggin TV?

So these guys would've added ZERO chances to Obama's electability and could only possibly serve to make him look like he had the support of militant radicals. And then they vanish.

I'm a pretty sharp cat, but I need this explained to me.

EnviroDude: Marcus Aurelius: EnviroDude: cman: But, really, there are things that Obama does not have control over. People think that Obama is this magical man with a big red button that says "Press to Create Jobs". He's not. He is like a bolt in a car that is holding up the driver's side door. Just another piece in a complicated machine.

If the 2007-2009 recession was Bush's fault. The jobless and anemic recovery since then would fall squarely on the shoulders of Obama.

That might be the case if the GOP hadn't actively tried to sabotage every single proposal coming out of the White House since 2009. It's gotten so bad that Obama can't even come out in favor of a proposal without the GOP frothing at the mouth. They're like rabid dogs at this point. Obama could propose eliminating all taxes on the wealthy and the GOP would shoot it down.

You obviously forgot that the democrats had a super majority in the senate and could pass anything they wanted.

You obviously forgot that the super majority included Joe Lieberman who endorsed John McCain and Ben Nelson who Obama had to give the "corn husker kickback" to get any votes out of. Not to mention a bunch of weak in the knees freshmen blue dogs who were in red districts afraid to appear as socialists. Obama never had a super majority, stop saying it, it's a lie. Democrats don't line up and do whatever their party demands like Republicans do.

Obama has never had a chance to enact the policies he proposed.

We will never know if progressive policies could have fixed our problems because we never tried. The Republican crybaby minority saw to that. We have however tried conservative policies full bore and they destroyed the global economy. Fark you and fark your disingenuous attacks.

I'll agree with you on one point: Obama's not about to kick the investment banks out of the oil speculation business. Only Ron Paul would do that, and Ron has no shot at the White House. Which is a pity, because the investment banks have no business packaging and selling oil futures.

I've heard the claim as recently as yesterday: Obama is trying to shut down all coal mining in the US and has already killed mining in Virginia and West Virginia. That's why is energy policy sucks, because he's shutting down coal power!

Oh, and he's shut down all oil production in the United States and off shore. We don't produce any oil any more.

Bonus? One of my companies biggest customers are oil fields. These guys see our product leaving the yard *every day* by the truckload going to Texas oil fields. And yet they can still claim with an anger distorted face that Obama has shut down oil production.

Most likely because his audience consisted of about four or five like minded morons. The few videos I saw of him making speeches were on boardwalks with his entourage just nodding and saying "Aw yeah" every so often while everyone else just walked past like he was a piece of scenery. Hell the few minorities that did glance his way all had a "Are you farking kidding me?" look on their face. Not even the spin doctors at FOX could make that stick.

2012-05-06 12:57:50 PM

EnviroDude: the arena is as empty of people as Obama is of ideas on how to improve the economy. I sympathize with the recent college graduates that aren't able to pay off their student loans because they can't find jobs. I also sympathize for the millions of people that have quit looking for work and done their democratic duty by falling off the unemployment rolls to keep the number low for him.

Since 2008, I have changed majors, graduated again, gotten a job, and started paying off my student debt. I've also paid cash for my current car, and am totally handling my own expenses.

During the Bush administration, I graduated into a crippled job field that had died while he was in office, was totally unable to find work, and was eventually rescued by my parents.

But by all means, keep molesting those chickens. Certainly this is somewhat related to what fields I was working in, but I have done MUCH better under the Obama administration. Coincidence? Maybe. Who knows. But I've like most of what he's done and tried to do.

Or the fact that Kennedy had a stroke the day Obama was elected, missed a ton of votes, died in September leaving a vacant seat until Feb of the following year when Scott Brown was elected. You mean that entire time they had a supermajority.

Our government is really going to run well in the future since you need to get 60 votes to get anything done.

OSU is on a quarter system. All of the students are busy with midterms. Ohio State is known for its academics and not just sports. If the campaign had come through a few weeks ago it would have sold out the arena. All of the supporters don't see the need to come out and rally since victory is in the bag. In fact, this is just a sign that Romney should be scared. We are not worried about the low turnout. You should be the ones worried.

But I would have found more truth, had the link gone to porn.
The picture inside showed people in masses.
