yeah. breitbart is dead.

Politicians running for office should hire the WWE as consultants for this. If there is anyone out there that can hide an empty arena and make it look like a sellout, its them

2012-05-06 07:50:44 AM
the arena is as empty of people as Obama is of ideas on how to improve the economy. I sympathize with the recent college graduates that aren't able to pay off their student loans because they can't find jobs. I also sympathize for the millions of people that have quit looking for work and done their democratic duty by falling off the unemployment rolls to keep the number low for him.

2012-05-06 07:52:31 AM
Mitt's only hope in this election is exactly what you're seeing in that picture. He doesn't have a chance if people care about Obama. If no one cares, Mitt has a chance to overcome the obvious deficit in voters he'll have down South.

And we're supposed to trust a random photograph of the back of an auditorium from Breitbart.com? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Oh, and this.

I was so caught up on my joke that I actually forgot to give my normal spiel.

If you take Breitbart for anything more than funny entertainment, you should be put to sleep

Out of 20,000 seats, 14,000 were filled, so 70% full. How full has Mittens been making arenas lately?

static.guim.co.uk
That's from Feb... Do we have other rally pictures where Willard is filling arenas?

2012-05-06 08:08:24 AM
That same crowd at a teabagger rally would be estimated by breitbart.com to top 275,000.

A war ended. OBL dead. Economy recovering. Health care reformed. What's to get excited about?

Well, you could trust Obama's own Tumbler post, which brags about a 70% capacity crowd. Face it, the hot lust of hope and promise has become the cold stain of actual performance. His supporters still don't need to worry about putting gas in their car or paying their mortgage, but that's because the car's been reposessed, the house has been foreclosed.

/The dream was always a fantasy, now it's becoming a nightmare

I've said it before, but...if it were a Republican president in the White House when Osama Bin Laden was taken out, Ghaddfi toppled without the loss of a single American life, GM and Chrysler returned to health and the Dow shooting over 13,000 the biggest debates on Fox News would be "Why hasn't Mount Rushmore been updated yet?" and "Why just put this president on the $10? Why not put him on the $5 shaking hands with Abe? The $1 getting a high-five from Washington?"

You think you know my thoughts? How presumptuous of you.

/when I graduated in the 1980's in my field, you couldn't buy a job. Many of my fellow Petroleum Engineering grads made money grabbing grocery carts at the local market before they could get any job in the oil field, much less practicing engineering (or petroleum geology for those).

Having been recently unemployed, I can empathize for those trying to find work. I ended up taking a "Wendy's Job", a job where you are so desperate to work, you would work at a Wendy's if you had to do it.

So don't be so presumptuous about my history because I criticize Obama and his failed policies.

I worked with a PE who was training as a cafeteria manager in Lubbock in 1987 during the bust. Starting salary was $19,200 annually. I figure that was a little less than he was making in the Patch but he was doing what he had to do.

Some will do whatever it takes to get by. Others will do little more than biatch about how hard life is.

I love bashing Obama. He is my favorite politician to shiat all over. But, really, there are things that Obama does not have control over. People think that Obama is this magical man with a big red button that says "Press to Create Jobs". He's not. He is like a bolt in a car that is holding up the driver's side door. Just another piece in a complicated machine.

This means Sarah Palin is automatically president and Obama has to take the blame for my fantasy baseball team's horrible showing so far this season.

Intrade markets estimate the probability of an Obama win at slightly more than 60%.

Yes, things are not recovering as quickly as folks would like. Yes, some of Obama's and the Dems' economic policy approaches have been misses. However, the GOP can't run away from the fact that their policies caused this economic mess, nor the fact that they have done all that they could to prevent the economy from getting better, nor that their social policies - especially those affecting women - are religious nuttery. On top of that, the GOP party is split between nuts and country club corporate kleptocrats.

Meanwhile, Obama has a number of popular accomplishments to talk about.

And finally, Mitt Romney is an awful candidate whom pretty much nobody trusts on policy positions.

If the 2007-2009 recession was Bush's fault. The jobless and anemic recovery since then would fall squarely on the shoulders of Obama.

If the arena was 70% full, as Obama's campaign said it was, it would be quite easy to pick a spot where I could take a pic that makes the place look empty.

It's phony enough from anyone, but from a site founded by a total scumbag who was known for intentionally editing things to support his phony attacks on political enemies, it's doubly fishy.

That might be the case if the GOP hadn't actively tried to sabotage every single proposal coming out of the White House since 2009. It's gotten so bad that Obama can't even come out in favor of a proposal without the GOP frothing at the mouth. They're like rabid dogs at this point. Obama could propose eliminating all taxes on the wealthy and the GOP would shoot it down.

That's relative. Solyndra was torpedoed by low cost solar coming out of China more than anything.

Meanwhile Bush's energy policy amounted to Dick Cheney, a bunch of oil company CEOs, and a closed meeting room.

I seriously doubt the President can do much about energy beyond cheerleading anyway.

I'll agree with you on one point: Obama's not about to kick the investment banks out of the oil speculation business. Only Ron Paul would do that, and Ron has no shot at the White House. Which is a pity, because the investment banks have no business packaging and selling oil futures.
