because i'm proud of my rant, i feel it deserves a repost:

i feel bad but when i loaded all comments to read last night's hockey thread i ended up having to also put another annoying hockey person on my ignore list. I don't like to do that because I like all hockey fans on Fark and put up with them for a while, but our Canadian friend had to join the ranks of our Multiple Wolves pal and the gone-but-not-forgotton "Rat-a-pissed" (credit to some farker 2 years ago).

Hockey farkers usually play nice and make this enjoyable, but when things like attendance figures turn into personal attacks... a timeout from the discussion for this drunk bastard is needed.

My buzz is harshed enough by the fact that -- once again -- both "my teams" are looking to have a round 2 departure (still hopeful, it's only 2-1 series each.. 2-2 is still doable but if it goes 3-1 then it's game over, man). Don't need another round of "bitter fan just sticking around trolling everyone else because his team is not in the playoffs anymore"

seriously I never understood that behavior. "Your" team is eliminated... so you decide to just stick around and your only purpose of watching is to just hate on whatever team is still playing?

Hell, when the Pens kept advancing I was of course hoping for them to lose in every game... but I was also cheering their playing style and the other team and as-objectively-as-possible-when-both-drunk-and-hating-Crosby's-net-ca m ping commenting on the game.

I wasn't just waiting for a Pen's fan to post "yeah pens rock!" just to go "you suck shut up".

But we get a lot of those around here. When someone says "Yay Caps!" another Farker has to go "stupid Caps fan shut up you suck"

They're not in it anymore to watch The Caps or The Flyers lose, they're posting to watch The Farker get upset.

"I'm gonna go into this thread to watch a person get upset... and if he's not getting upset I'll jsut keep trying and trying to make them upset".

let it be known: I am a Lundqvist fan. have been for years. Avery made it hard for me to enjoy watching the Rangers. Now I can. If they were playing anyone but WAS or PHL they're my pick.
