"I wish I had my media."

At least he's honest.

To be fair, Romney does talk to regular people. He's been campaigning all over the country at diners and state fairs and pancake breakfasts and fudge factories.

2012-05-05 04:12:11 PM
Mitt, maybe you should stop identifying with folks, and start identifying yourself.

Don't feel their pain. Alleviate it...

fta: Aides did not respond to repeated requests for information about the meetings and the participants, including when the meetings take place, who has participated or even which states they are from. Aides also wouldn't say whether any meetings were held Thursday or Friday, when Romney campaigned in Virginia and Pittsburgh, respectively.

The meetings aren't listed on Romney's public schedule.

Having had to deal with his crap since BEFORE he moved to Utah for the Olympics, I wouldn't vote the man for dogcatcher. I can't wait to see who he decides on VP candidate, because I suspect that will be LULZ inducing event...

Hey GOP, are you realizing now that your strategy of alienating normal people is so sh*tty that you ended up with the guy who has taken an opposite position on nearly every issue?

Are you getting it now?

/or was that a tactic?

At least Obama is half-white. If Romney were half-poor your argument might hold water.

I'm sure he talks to TONS of people every day who are only worth 10's of millions of dollars instead of 100's of millions.

The correct answer to that question: "Look, over the years, I've laid off thousands and thousands of Americans while raping their company's assets. I'm sure many of those people are now poor. Next question."

It's THAT EASY, Mitt. C'mon! Do I have to do this for you?

Ah, fine I'll tell my CSS:

I've always been a sucker for people in need. A couple months back, after a car accident, I was using the bus. I asked the dude standing next to me when the next one was coming.

LSS, he was homeless due to a work accident, and my gut told me he was honorable. So I let him crash at my place for quite a while (though he was required to leave during the day so I could get my work done).

But I still can't get that smell of homeless clothes out the washing machine, dammit.

FTFA: "So far during my campaigns one of the highlights for me has been sitting down with three or four families almost every day without the camera there," he said during an interview with CBS News.

Seriously, does anyone here think this is at all plausible?

"almost every day"

You'd think, after over a year of "almost every day" meetings there'd be at least one article out there - "Local Couple Meets With Candidate - John and Shannon Blah were thrilled to get the chance to meet with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for a discussion about jobs and the economy here in Springfield. "He asked a lot of questions, and it seemed like he knew how things were going, the local schools and things...""

tfa says that he has round table discussions, group meetings, etc.

way different from 0bama who (a) rarely press conferences any more (b) specifically stopped doing round table discussions

(I made (b) up, just like the subtard made up the headline)

You know what's funny? When a derper takes a joke used against his side and flips it around but in the process strips away all context leaving a joke that doesn't really mean anything and thus making the derper look stupid. I always laugh when that happens.

Of course it is believable. That is what campaigning is.
Meet and greets, handshaking, discussions, etc.

Do you read all the articles from every local paper? Why do you think it doesn't happen?
Do you think the press is notified that there is an off the record meeting so they can then interview the local couple?

Now you are just being silly.
Can you even imagine how hard it is to get inexpensive help you can trust to make sure the lights stay on in the houses you aren't currently using? what if a fuse goes and nobody notices?

Mitt feels your pain, why do you refuse to feel his?
How many rich people have you even pretended to talk to today?

and why is that even relevant?

Gore and Kerry never needed to worry about either, so farken what?

Did JFK have those worries and he cared about the working man. Oh and what about FDR and his New Deal? He never had those worries either.

Gore and Kerry both get that for most people the comfort of their own lives is unimaginable except as some completely abstract notion. And they don't put their own economic needs ahead of those who stand to benefit a lot more from even modest gains.

"Just last week I spoke with a fellow whose yacht was a mere 40'... Can you imagine? How many people can you even fit on such a rinky-dinky little skiff? May as well be a piece of driftwood.

And all 10 of his classic cars parked in a single above ground garage... I have seen the suffering in this nation. I know what economic insecurity is. I have looked directly into the eyes of a man whose household serving staff is in the single digits!"
