TheKnownUniverse: Meireles to own goal, strip off his Chelsea jersey to reveal a Liverpool kit, and yell THIS IS FOR LIVERPOOL AND AVB!!! Then shave his head.

:)
I see you finally got to a bar and had a couple?

WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATT????

OMG

2012-05-05 01:54:51 PM
Oh that was over.

Don't tell me we're getting robbed.

On second viewing, good save. Damn, so close.

The whole of the ball has to cross the line.

What a save.

Did Suarez get booked or just told to STFU?

2012-05-05 01:56:14 PM
Both Suarez and Carroll should have been booked there, Suarez especially.

2012-05-05 01:56:35 PM
Another 2 inches, Andy Carroll's a hero. Fark me that was close.

On my 3rd diet coke! :)

They'll be talking about that save for a few weeks

2012-05-05 01:57:16 PM
I think that was a legitimate save by Cech.

WOW!

Suarez was booked, yes

I thought it was over initially, but in the replay shows it's not over. The law is 'all of the ball over all of the line'. But so close...

Carroll kept his distance so its a stern talking to. Suarez got the yellow.

So no more diving oe he could be sent off.

We need just one. We're on top, we just need one more good shot.

Juan Mata off
Florent Malouda on

5 minutes? Kenny time!

I know the game isn't just over, but if we're going to lose this match, there is no shame of going out to a brilliant save. Really proud of this second half performance from the Reds.

Of course, we'll have to endure an entire thread of people who hate us, but I can live with that.

Come on ref enough of this Fergie time nonsense

CHELSEA ARE 2012 FA CUP CHAMPIONS

Well played to Chelsea. Nothing bad to say about them, they played well when they needed to, we didn't.

2012-05-05 02:08:38 PM
That last 45 seconds would have made Dean Smith proud.

Congrats to Chelsea.

2012-05-05 02:08:44 PM
Bahhhh

2012-05-05 02:08:59 PM
The way we played in the 1st half is what killed us. We didn't deserve to win.

Well done, Chelsea.

Carroll was the best player for Pool. That felt weird to type. Now where is that Pool fan who thinks this was still a successful season for pool even though they'll finish around 10th.

2012-05-05 02:11:47 PM
Now if only the caps would pull it out.

It was only going to be successful if they won this cup. Now that they didn't, it is not a successful season. No one said otherwise.

I hope that this is a turning point for Andy Carroll. He was boss from the moment he came on. He's exactly what we need: a power man to twin Suarez's speed man. Now we need a better midfield.

Also, probably a new manager and goalkeeper. Reina should have saved that first one.

2012-05-05 02:20:01 PM
What the fark is it with these commentators. They keep on going on about "did the ball cross the line or not. Do we need goal line technology". Any one who saw the video from the camra on the line can see the whole of the ball didn't cross the line.

Shut the fark up about it, the linesman get the call right. It was no goal.

What does that spell for Kenny? I hope he will be given more time to build a better side.

If I'm FSG, the man has not had the best league season, that's for sure. However, he did get us to two cup finals and won one of them. He's got us back in Europe, which we couldn't say last year. He gets another year, but if he pulls a Hodgson and were midtable by the New Year break, he'll be "given the opportunity" to walk instead of getting the ax.

Even if they had won I don't think it would have been successful, but it doesn't matter anymore. Now for Spurs to finish third so I can cheer for Chelsea to deny Arsenal a Champs League spot.

Disappointed but what can I say, it's been a disappointing season. Say what you will about Andy, he seems to be improving all the time. Not £35mil worth, but it's looking like a better investment than it was a year ago.

Congrats Chelsea, good luck in the CL final. Cech is a god.

Can't believe they didn't just score. I don't know if I can take another nervy, long game. I was watching that and the United game until late late, Wednesday night. Both losses and it was rough.

DCU in 1.5 hours!

That save from Cech is going to make every FA Cup memory reel for the next 2 decades. That was a cup saving save there.

Reina had a chance to save his side and didn't, Cech got the same opportunity and did. That's all it takes.

2012-05-05 02:53:46 PM
Found a Liverpool bar in Phoenix to go watch the game at. Reactions: first goal never should have happened. Kenny should have put Kyut on for Henderson, not Bellamy. And Carroll's almost goal could have been an actual goal had somebody followed it up rather than celebrating what wasn't. I would have loved to have seen the effort we put in the last third of the game the first half of the game.

MIKE GREEN!

I can see DCU giving Toronto their first win of the season, but I'm a pessimist like that. The best case scenario is a DeRo hattrick and Pontius proposing to me on TV at halftime.

Toronto is having an abysmal season. I'm almost glad DCU lost on Wednesday to give them the extra drive to pick up these points on the road. I'm hoping for a 3-0 win and Alex Morgan appearing at my door.

/Go Manchester United, win that 20th title

DCU 0-0 TFC. Ref has been pretty TFC friendly, but DCU needs to create better chances. Draw against a team who hasn't won yet this season is not enough.

2012-05-05 05:22:36 PM
A minute after a TFC player pulls a Suarez on the line, but isn't red carded and the PK isn't given, Pontius lashes one from outside the box to give DCU the lead. Now to push for the second to secure the points.

Goal numero DOS!!!! Salihi, DCU's new designated player who has had a slow start to the season scores in an overhead bicycle kick for his season of the season and second in successive games. Three points has to be almost certain.

Woooo. DCU makes it a perfect sports day. Arse drop points, Pool lose FA Cup, Caps win, Nats win and DCU finishes it off. Now for Newcastle to win, Spurs to win, Man Utd to win and the Nats to win tomorrow (pretty sure that won't happen, but a man can dream).
