It will only keep escalating. Johnson Silo has just entered the race.

Gergesa: Everyone who is not to the right of Attila the Hun is a socialist it appears.

Fox news is losing its audience to WND because it is too leftist.

Even Ann Coulter has been accused of failing to be rightwingy enough.

At the rate this is going I predict some sort of GOP convention where people cut off their left hand and pluck out their left eye to show just how dedicated they are to the conservatism.

Perhaps they will even pass some sort of resolution declaring the entire concept of "left" to be socialist.

Didn't think so.

Now you got it, and we're supposed to be...sorry? Happy? Smug?

I was warning the leftists and rightists of my acquaintance in 2008 that this was coming, and everyone just laughed. Sometimes schadenfreude is the only consolation one can get from being Cassandra.

lockers: Nero fiddled while Rome burned too.

Nero did no such thing. He wasn't even in Rome when the fire started, but he got his ass back there in a hurry and when he did he personally started organizing the fire relief efforts, which meant paying for them. Then after the fire was out he opened all the palace grounds so that people had somewhere to sleep and paid for their food so they didn't starve. In the case of the fire of 64 Nero was beyond reproach and someone you could actually use to the make the GOP squirm in their seats, particularly the wealthier among them.

GOOD.

Right-wingers are incapable of recognizing the existence of a problem until they themselves are affected by it. The WI GOP let Kathy let-me-run-this-shiat-off-my-personal-laptop-I'm-retarted Nicklaus fark up every election she ever had anything to do with ... until she farked up the GOP primary. Now she's out.

I encourage the baggers to make every GOPer's life a living Hell.

On the other hand, he liked to cover Christians in pitch, hoist them on poles and light them on fire for use as street lamps...so he had a dark side, too

Non sequitur. The fact that the GOP is run by morons doesn't explain liberals' love for politicians who support Wall Street bailouts and hatred for politicians who oppose Wall Street bailouts.

After we determine whether today's liberals are pro Wall Street bailouts or against them, we'll try to figure out whether or not you are gutsy anti-terrorists.

That is interesting, but I don't think the Tea Party was devised by the GOP, but that it is probably grassroots, especially since, as your cartoon indicates, GOP candidates are not immune from the critique of the Tea Party.

That IS interesting because I never, ever, see a Teabagger rally or event of any sort in my town unless it's initiated by a national Republican-affiliated Teabagging organization; Fox News, Dick Armey's Freedom Works, or what have you.

Then he built a huge palace on the best land (after making sure the people were really indebted to him and wouldn't complain), bankrupted the treasury by devaluing the denarius, and murdered his mother, wife and older half-brother. Plus his vicious repression of the Christians who got to use him for the next 1500 years as a symbol of their victimization.

Sure he wasn't as bad as Seutonius and Dio wanted him to be; but he wasn't a saint, either.

However, losing Senator Lugar would be disastrous for Indiana. If Murdoch wins we will have gone from two senior Senators to two freshmen Senators in two years time. But I still wouldn't count Lugar out. But he'll at least make it a close race if he does lose.

Fun Fact to scare the FARK liberals:
The guy who is winning, Richard Murdoch, wants to get rid of the EPA.

So he's to the right of Richard farking Nixon, then.

Lovely.
