I get a little tired of seeing chuckuwhatever walk in and just take ownership of a GW thread, but I have to admit that this made me laugh.

That was an awfully nice thing for those climatologists to do for him, too, considering that he wasn't a climatologist. As for my qualifications, they're quite modest - I'm not a climatologist, either. It's just one of the many things I have in common with the FATHER OF CLIMATOLOGY!TM.

You seem to be a very dense person. Have somebody read the following to you and then have them explain it to you.

Professor Reid Bryson (1920-2008) was the founder of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Meteorology and Center for Climatic Research and was the first director of the Institute for Environmental Studies (now the Nelson Institute). Dr. Bryson was one of the pioneers of modern climatology and among the first to explore the influence of climate on humans and human culture. He gained fame for his studies of past and future climate, the relationships between climate and the biosphere, and the interaction of climate and human societies. A polymath, Bryson's scholarly interests ranged from studies of archaeology and geography to geology and limnology, and he tied them together through an abiding interest in weather and climate.

chuckufarlie: pdee: Are Global Warming Policies Deadlier than Global Warming

Don't go exposing the warmers big plans. Have you ever noticed that the same people who believe in AGW also believe that we need to reduce the population of the planet? Have you noticed that they are also the people who believe we should return to a simpler life without all of the machines and technology?

Of course the implementation of the policies would kill people. That is all part of the plan.

I believe in AGW like I believe in gravity-because it's proven science. Silly political points of view that are held by the extreme minority of science-believers don't come into it. Clearly, you don't believe in science. That's fine.

Then why on earth are you harping on the fact that he was a "PROFESSOR EMERITUS"? That doesn't matter, nor does the (completely bogus) claim that he is the "FATHER OF CLIMATOLOGY".

What might make his opinion matter is if he has done some actual work in the field that supports that opinion. Can you cite some of his work that disproves the notion that mankind's activities have contributed to the rise in the average global temperature?

You are so stupid nicksteel.

The people I quoted do work in the field of climatology.

Nope.

Can you prove that?

BMulligan: spongeboob: Yeah but now I really want to know dimit. I know there has to be something like pubmed or medline to search for general science papers by authors, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

What? You're asking him to prove a negative?

Why? All of your poor little fools who believe in AGW need to have the truth draped in front of you from time to time. Somebody tells you to believe in something without any solid evidence and you swallow the entire thing. You remind me of Linda Lovelace.

chuckufarlie: You asked for some of his work that disproves the notion of AGW. That is asking for a negative

No that is asking for pertinent scientific research that disproves a theory. If someone can prove that temperatures globally are not rising that would disprove AGW. Scientist prove theories wrong all the time.

why not? You morons seem to believe that it is possible to prove a negative so go for it.

chuckufarlie: gulogulo: UCFRoadWarrior: Funny...but the biggest critics of the Heartland Inst. get their science from Al Gore

Man Made Global Warming/Climate Change is a bigger lie than "getting STDs from toilet seats"

Am I a unicorn? Do I not exist? I'm a scientist that has seen ample evidence in actual scientific journals and studies, which support the hypothesis that it is indeed a function, in part of increased CO2 output.

You are a scientist? Cool! I am the King of Siam!

BTW - an increase in temperature has ALWAYS preceded an increase in CO2, Mr. Scientist. Can you provide evidence that this is not the case now?

I didn't think so.

Wrong. http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v484/n7392/full/nature10915.html
