WhoIsWillo: Jensaarai: The Bourdais situation is a mess. He bailed, was mediocre in F1, and came back to find the road-course-only Champ car series absorbed by Indycar. Because he was gone during that critical time, he's pretty much farked. Drives the hell out of an underpowered car in the heaviest road course season of a mixed Indycar series possible.

Even if he was in quality stuff, I don't think he'd have anything for Will Power this season. He's going to win the title by races this year, I feel.

His races wins will be in the double digits.

Well, I think it's a combo thing. The guy did finish top 3 in the truck series points last season, despite not pulling off a win. It was odd that he got his first one in a different series through luck, but he *was* due for a win.

I already ranted my ass off about this during Daytona, but I think mandated danger like this is just retarded. If it weren't for the advances in car-safety, we'd have seen some serious farkin' injuries because of it by now.

Exactly. I don't understand how Nascar can believe that relaying info through spotters is safer than letting the drivers talk to each other directly. Stuff develops so fast on the track that by the time they do all that, the incidents have already occurred. It's not like they are racing lawnmowers out there.

I think it was instinct. Cars were half turned and bunched up before then. But you could be right.

I wonder if the added downforce created by that crumply nose actually helped Sadler have the car control to pull off that move.
