X-Men The Last Stand and Wolverine were successes because the only way to murder a franchise that completely is on purpose.

\How did everyone forget Steel?
\\Elektra is the worst superhero movie ever made.

What? No love for Toxic Avenger, Darkman, or TMNT II & III.

2012-05-04 01:28:03 PM
I give Superman III a pass (barely) if for no other reason than that one scene of Bad Superman sitting in a bar getting drunk, and just because he can, shattering mirrors and liquor bottles by flicking peanuts at them.

Also that woman being turned into a robot was freaky.

Rwa2play: The list for those that don't want to click:

5. Superman III
4. Superman IV
3. Catwoman
2. Captain America (1990, not the recently relased one)
1. Batman and Robin

I'll disagree: Catwoman should be #1 with a bullet, I don't remember any movie that had FAIL written all over it from the moment you saw the main character's costume. You were wondering if Halle Berry had gotten into S&M porn when you saw the costume the first time around. As bad as all of the others on this list were, the only one IMHO that gets close to Catwoman would be Superman IV; just because the franchise had no business returning to life after III.

That list is terrible except for Catwoman and Batman & Robin

They forgot:
The first try at the hulk
Spiderman 3

2012-05-04 01:32:52 PM
The Phantom?

I guess not enough people saw it to trash it.

Really? I did not know that. Ok, I'll trade it out for Lenard Part 6.

I had forgotten about that. Was that supposed to be some kind of half-assed Brainiac?

GAT_00: Spiderman II was pretty goddamn bad. 'Oh look, there's people around again. Better take off my mask.'

First off, Spiderman 2 was awesome.

Secondly, he only took off his mask once, and that was to convince Doc Ock from destroying the city. The other two times, his mask was taken off.

Green Lantern wasn't awful, it was just so mediocre and bland in every single way. It wasn't even bad enough to be really memorable.

Agreed. Sure, the Raimi Spidey had flaws, but when it came out, it really raised the bar for comic book superhero movies. That's why we now have quality flicks like Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. Most of my friend are life-long comic geeks, and they all loved Spidey 2.

Yeah, Spiderman 2 was awesome, not perfect. I really wanted to smack MJ in the head. Oh, boo hoo. Peter didn't go see your Broadway debut? Well, even if you didn't know that he's Spiderman (and at the end of the movie, you admit you always suspected) he is a full-time college student, has to work two jobs, and he still can't pay rent or help keep his aunt from being evicted. Ya think that maybe...just maybe...he has more pressing concerns than seeing an Oscar Wilde play? (Loved everything else about the second movie.)

And she manages to be even more obnoxious in the third movie. She's already a successful model and stage actress, but she won't be truly happy unless she's also a singer? Ya know what, MJ? Just go fark yourself. I laughed when Emo Peter punched you in the face.

Thank you for the list. To show my gratitude, I'll stroke your ego by saying you're right about both Catwoman and Superman IV. I also disagree with Captain America being in there. Not because it wasn't awful, just that it didn't see a wide enough release to qualify.

Yeah, thanks for that. Everybody forgets this piece of trash.

I fail to see how DC/WB will ever make a JLA movie if they think a movie like this one will generate anticipation for it.

GAT_00: Spiderman II was pretty goddamn bad. 'Oh look, there's people around again. Better take off my mask.'

What? Are you serious or is this trolling?

He took off his mask because the lens got burned and he couldn't see what he was doing.

And dude, sorry, but the train full of New Yorkers promising not to tell anyone was one of the best scenes in a truly fantastic movie. Spiderman II is easily the best of the three.

Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, it's "Spider-Man," with a hyphen. Not "Spiderman."

And Daredevil is a pretty solid movie, especially the directors cut, and shouldn't be anywhere near this pretty right list.
