I vote for Rain Man. He didn't wear any tights, and he never even made it rain! Talk about a let down.

That's an excellent pick. I would submit Marathon Man. Dustin Hoffman is scrawny to begin with, and who cares if someone's power is to run 26.2 miles? He still had a weakness to sadistic dentistry that could be exploited at any time.

Also, I Love You Man couldn't make people fall in love with him, but there was a sweet, funny comedy buried in there if you looked for it.

Repo Man. What the hell is with the glowing?

Spiderman II was pretty goddamn bad. 'Oh look, there's people around again. Better take off my mask.'

Six page article man.

all of them are pretty bad

The Green Hornet sucked donkey balls. When you can't even root for your own super hero that sucks.

GAT_00: Spiderman II was pretty goddamn bad. 'Oh look, there's people around again. Better take off my mask.'

Come on...? Compared to Spiderman 3?

2012-05-04 12:14:21 PM
both Fantastic Four movies, Elektra, Spiderman 3

2012-05-04 12:14:37 PM
The list certainly does fail. Superman III and IV, but no mention of Supergirl?

2012-05-04 12:16:53 PM
I still need to apologize to my Dad for having him take me to see Superman IV when I was a kid.

Absent from the list:

The Fantastic Four movie from the early 90s.

I would have put this on there before Captain America

How did Daredevil not make the list?

2012-05-04 12:19:48 PM
The list for those that don't want to click:

5. Superman III
4. Superman IV
3. Catwoman
2. Captain America (1990, not the recently relased one)
1. Batman and Robin

I'll disagree: Catwoman should be #1 with a bullet, I don't remember any movie that had FAIL written all over it from the moment you saw the main character's costume. You were wondering if Halle Berry had gotten into S&M porn when you saw the costume the first time around. As bad as all of the others on this list were, the only one IMHO that gets close to Catwoman would be Superman IV; just because the franchise had no business returning to life after III.

2012-05-04 12:20:26 PM
I don't get it. Was Batman and Robin so bad because neither of them had super powers, and yet this is a list about superhero movies?

Vashalgrim: How did Daredevil not make the list?

I think Daredevil was so bad it has been purged from people's memories.

Son of Thunder: The list certainly does fail. Superman III and IV, but no mention of Supergirl?

That's because Supergirl was hot

This. The movie was crappy, Supergirl (Helen Slater) wasn't.

Is Sam Hell considered a superhero?

5. Dr. Strange (1978)
4. The Amazing Spider Man (1977)
3. Swamp Thing- The Movie (1982)
2. Howard the Duck (1985)
1. Conan the Destroyer (1984)

Some awesome product placement in that movie.

Helen Slater's super suit itself was nothing more than blatantly false advertising.

Yeah, I don't think so.

No, really. Batman and Robin is #1.

/ I'm not going to entertain any argument on this.

I have often said a good reboot of Swamp Thing is long overdue - maybe based on the terrific Alan Moore storylines?

I guess its based on released movies but the Roger Corman Fantastic Four is pretty terrible.

Fat Fury.... Look it up.

Downright stupidist superhero ever. It sucked when I was 10. Even more now.

Way to defeat your own argument. Watch it on mute, be entertained.

Batman Forever should have been on there fo sho. The equation for this list is x / y = z where x = delivery, y = expectation and z ≤ a no-anesthesia castration.

I actually enjoyed Punisher: War Zone.

Bruce Campbell makes an appearance, your argument is invalid.

catwoman was actually entertaining in a so-bad-its-good way, but the other four on that list are just cringeworthy. me and my friends refer to batman & robin as "the movie that shall not be named."

Kurmudgeon: How can they discuss the worst and not discuss this sad little tale from 2004?

i was about to disagree and then i saw you were linking to the one with john travolta. yes, that movie was terrible. the original one with dolph lundgren was a solid 80s action movie even though it had little to do with the character from the comics, and the most recent one with ray stevenson was pretty bad but at least the action was fast-paced and the guy who played jigsaw was so awesome he made the movie worth watching.

Not a comic book fan at all but I do enjoy (most) of the movies because I have a penis and like dumb action movies.

List fails without Daredevil and Ghostrider. I can forgive the campy 70/80's superman movies because of the times.

While I agree it's a pretty awful movie but I don't think it even comes close to being in the top 10 of the worst super hero movies. There's an amazing amount of crap out there.

The Punisher: War Zone got it right, The Punisher is supposed to be over the top.

2012-05-04 01:06:58 PM
Juwanna Man was the worst. I don't even know wtf kinda power "Juwanna" is supposed to be, but she didn't have it.

I'd rather watch Halle Berry in "Swordfish" before watching her in "Catwoman."
