Translation for Americans: "The guy in the tin foil hat got more votes than the Republican for the San Francisco city council." Faintly amusing, but not politically important.
Indeed although the BNP loosing all their council seats is BOTH faintly amusing and slightly (very slightly) of political importance. We got rid of the Nazi's... erm... yay us!
