A war with Iran would mean bombing the shiat out of them until there was nothing of any consequence left. Three weeks sounds about right. It's not like we would send in ground troops, we're not interested in regime change.

MeinRS6: Nrokreffefp: MeinRS6: Nrokreffefp: Did you not get an education on the way that WWI and WW2 started? Not surprised.

Ok, let's pretend that I don't know anything about WWI or II and you explain in detail to me how the way either of those started applies to a US nuke strike on Iran in 2012.

But you won't do that. You will just post some other dumbass comment. Because you've got a big bag'o'nothing. So sit down, beeotch.

I'm no teacher. If you can't read history and fit it together, you aren't worthy of having an actual discussion on the subject. Could I educate you? Sure. Will I? Go fark yourself, you drew your narrative many years before you acquired the education to consider it.

Like I said - you've got nothing. And you've posted a bunch of stupid shiat already to prove it.

Now go work on your reading comprehension, you silly person.

The irony of having to discuss this with someone who openly identifies themselves as German, the most obvious example of evil politics in the preceding millennium is hilarious. I still can't reconcile your belligerence both towards Jews and Poles, and towards their imaginary and fictitious enemies. You farkers just want a conflict to manufacture arms for.

You are like a lost little lamb. Give me your mom's email and I'll tell her that you need a hug.

No, you advocated dropping a MIRV on civilians. No? Now get in line to bang my whore of a mother.

I didn't advocate anything. I suggested the route to a 3min war with Iran.

Sometimes you Farklib morons are even worse than I recall. And I'm setting the bar really low for you too. I edited out the homosexual imagery that you libs are so fond of. I find it distasteful.

I have a friend from Lebanon, he says the nightclubs in Beirut are awesome. He's a wealthy gay Lebanese Christian who produces rave type shows in Tel Aviv and Beirut and Damascus, but he can't go to Damascus anymore. But he said the nightclub scene is hopping.

No, idiot. You presented dropping a MIRV as an example of how to end the 'war' in 3 minutes. I asserted that you have no understanding of global politics if you think that was a reality. You still do think it is a possibility, and thats why you are an abject moron.

2012-05-04 03:34:55 AM

The Why Not Guy: he translated that back to his friends and then said, "that's too bad. we were hoping you guys would change our government."

Why don't your new friends change their own damn government? We have our own problems.

Well, I wouldn't describe someone as a friend, if I only spoke a few sentences to them in passing. But that's exactly what I told them.

"I think you'll have to do that yourselves."

His response was, "we can't because the government has all the guns."

So I told him about the Second Amendment, and that I own a few guns myself, including a military sniper's rifle.

He translated that to his buddies and came back with,
"That's the greatest thing I ever heard in my life."

The United States as a democracy had no intention of entering either war, and were coerced into it through black-flag operations. It is exactly analogous, except that I think you implicitly agree with the subversive reasons behind it. Is there any actual discussion with you? You never contradict or provide evidence against a point, you just say openly retarded things that would get you labeled delusional in public.

Just another BS headline. The actual quote in the story is, "US Central Command (CENTCOM) believes it can destroy or significantly degrade Iran's conventional armed forces in about three weeks using air and sea strikes, a defense source told The Washington Post."

I have no problem at all believing that! I just hope we've learned by now that THAT point is one hell of a long way from "victory".

Did they say how many nukes it would take to achieve that result, 10, 20, 50? Yes, we could win in 3 weeks, if we don't care about population, moral standing, ethics, environment, domestic opinion, foreign opinion, and future consequences. I think that most people do care about these things which makes that assessment a little hard to believe.

Iran, in fact, is a larger and more advanced nation than Iraq was/is, any attack on them would be a disaster and they would have other large nations back them. In fact, an attack on Iran would lead to a more global conflict, so if you think Iraq and Afghanistan are/were bad, just imagine how long a war with Iran would be. I've never been in the military, but I have friends and family who are, i know a guy who has been on 2 tours in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq, lots of people have served multiple tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq. This is anecdotal, but I haven't met anyone who has been to Iraq or Afghanistan and would think its a good idea to go to Iran.

You're asking 20 year old kids to get in a Stryker and drive around in the desert and watch their friends get blown up and kill everyone in a car that turns out the car was a father mother and 2 kids and you killed them because you thought they were a danger, turns out they weren't. Or a drone pilot who sits in a base in New Mexico and bombs a wedding which kills 3 or 4 bad guys along with 10 women and children, with a joystick like its a video game.

Well see what you said is true and all but we did sorta play Iraq and Iran against on another,in so many ways. And really NK, no I don't think they have a 10th of the capability we think they have today.

One would like to believe we have no real threats so we create them. This is sorta true but the reality is its about geostrategic positioning. Why do we need Iran and North Korea as a bogey man? Simple the threat level justifies deployments.

And Russia can't even call us out on it because they play the same game but there getting pissed.

MeinRS6: And who do you think would really go to bat for Iran anyway - after all of its major cities had been nuked? What's in it for them after that? The Russians are dishonest, disloyal, and entirely unprincipled. They will sabre rattle with the best of them, but after the nukes have already dropped - they aren't going to risk their own cities over an already melted Iran. The Chinese would be upset as well, but again, they wouldn't go to bat for anyone. A lot of countries would be angry, and would talk a lot.

And both Europe and Japan would go totally apeshiat over the US turning a sovereign nation to glass without provocation, as that would be a clear demonstration that our promise never to use nukes first was worthless. Not to mention a direct violation of multiple ratified treaties. Casually violating so many treaties sends a clear message that our nation's word is worthless. That makes our fiat currency worthless on the international market. That means nobody's buying our debt anymore and we get to have a lovely economic collapse. While we dig out from under that mess, new alliances and new trade networks would grow that bypass the US entirely. Depending on how obnoxious we are about it, there could eventually be a new NATO-like alliance spanning most of the eastern hemisphere, but directed toward defending against us this time. After all, our act was many times worse than anything the old USSR ever actually did.

So now we're in an economic ghetto, the dollar has crashed, and we're perhaps competing in a new arms race against over 3 billion people! Thanks, but I don't care for your plan.

The specifics are just my imagination, but seriously, consider how many ways a sneak-attack, population-targeted nuclear strike would be breaking our nation's word. It's probably a dozen environmental treaties alone! Since the whole world changed to fiat currencies, a nation's word is closely tied to its economic survival. That's all a dollar is: Our nation's word.

I hope you'll also consider the specific impact of dropping an unprovoked nuke on Mecca. No, like you said I don't think China would nuke us back over Iran. But blow up Mecca and Pakistan might try to nuke Washington, even knowing the consequences. Mecca's kind-of a big deal to over 1.5 billion people. We would certainly immediately find ourselves at war with the entire Muslim world. Not that they could project enough force to conquer us, obviously, but we'll have to get on that whole "energy independent" stuff pronto!
