In the battle of illegal immigration we have these people, the exploited. These people were held against there will in inhumaine conditions. There is a chance they would have been sold as domestic servants.

And its even worse for women. Many of them become sex slaves in this country. Gangs are most responsible for this. This has become a major problem in the past few years.

So, while you may be screaming "quit takin' our jobs" or "free healthcare for illegals", please remember that this is should be the center issue on the illegal immigration debate.

Open borders doesn't help, and in fact exacerbates the very thing in that article.
Police the border better.

So it's like being stuck on a plane that's sitting on the taxiway at DFW?

Damn it. I just tracked postage for the replacement line cook that I ordered, and the package has been stuck in McCallen Texas for the past 4 days... Now I find out why.

I swear to god, if there's any damage at all, I'm filing an insurance claim. This is the LAST time I use FedMex.

I have it on good authority that it is, indeed, no fun being an illegal alien.

Problem with your analogy is that no one wants to make those harboring Illegal Aliens responsible for their actions.

The way to stop this is to strengthen Human Trafficking laws to include the hiring of Illegal Aliens. Long sentences for those who hire Illegals will prevent such abuse from Coyotes

Still, the first and best way to prevent these people from being "imprisoned" like this is secure borders and deportation. By doing those things, it will discourage anyone from becoming an Illegal Alien here in the first place

(they are not immigrants if they are here Illegally)

Or you know, they could have just stayed in their own country where they belong instead of driving down wages, increasing crime rates, and bringing diseases eradicated in civilized places with them. The mexicans who illegally immigrate to America are the absolute dregs of society, the lowest possible form of human life.

God. I'd love to illegally immigrate to the UK or Australia. Somehow I don't think is be welcomed as an undocumented worker.

raise taxes on the wealthier Americans so there will be funding to support increased patrols, better borders, and more efficient Immigration courts.

Why are they hiding them in some house? Seriously... it's McAllen. No one is gonna notice if they were all sitting on the sidewalk.

In fact, in two more days, the entire population of CJ could parade right up the center of the country dragging a BBQ'd pig, waving Mexican flags, shooting into the air and and they'd make it as far as Nebraska before anyone noticed.

You smell very naive.

Enforcement is about as effective as the War on Drugs Drugs not produced by Pfizer, Philip Morris or Anheuser Busch. Throwing money at that hasn't worked either. Time to stop trying, and to find a better solution.

/ electing Romney and letting him fark up the economy so we can't afford to pay even illegals is one possibility :)

Are we talking house or fortress? Because if we're just talking about a regular house with maybe a wooden door to the basement, I'd get those other 99 people together and start kicking some ass or tunneling.

Most of the time that they keep them in very dire secure locations is to get more money out of them.

It is very hard to prove an employer knew someone is an illegal alien.

And that isn't even getting into how to deal with day laborers.

With borders between two contiguous countries, is it really like locks between two bodies of water? Should we just make it open both ways and see how it washes out, what would happen? It seems like with free trade, poor countries will continue economically developing, while countries like the US are more stagnant, are we moving toward economic equalization worldwide?

I really don't know at all, just curious.
