Ok, I'll admit it. Nerd boner.

Hey, 3 greenlights in 2 days. I guess all it takes is to satisfy the nerd collective rage/boner.

impressive

I think I've seen this kid before. Complete attention whore and on top of that a totally prick about not sharing his "secrets" about how he made the costume, or even giving helpful advice. EABOD buddy.

I don't think the people that made the movie put in that much effort. Moving parts? Just use cgi.

Butthurt much?

You say prick, I say smart. He'll probably get a call from Guillermo del Toro soon for work.

Le's been riding this one suit for 3+ years now AND he's an asshole. People need to stop feeding his ego.

Why would he need to "share"?

And don't quote secrets. They are legitimately secrets. Especially since you don't know them.

Nope, no butthurt here. Wouldn't mind owning one to show off at Halloween, but I was never gonna even attempt to build one.

It's just that his attitude, from what I can recall was like,

"Hey, check this out. Look at me. Look what I made."
And people were like, "Wow, how did you make that?"
"Can't tell you."
"Please."
"No, fark off, but before you do, check this out also."
"Farking cool! Now, how did you make that?"
"Can't tell you."
"Oh come on!"
"No."
"Why the hell not?"
"Because, I don't want anyone to have suit as cool as mine, or to copy the work I copied from someone else. Get it?"
"No."
"Oh, I forgot . . . check this out."
"Yeah, whatever."
"Look!"
"Listen, I was having trouble making Ironman's repulsor gauntlet work. Can you give me some pointers?"
"No, but look how good mine work."
(collective) "You know what? Just go fark yourself already."

IIRC, he did a War Machine suit in the past that was not bad.

I am trying really really hard not to have a giant nerd boner on this. I want to be all 'meh' and whatnot... but that is a farking sweet setup. The 'hows' aren't that hard to figure out, I have to admit slight curiosity about the control interface. I can think of a couple ways, and would like to know if I'm right.

I have to question how he fares when it's time to go to the bathroom though.

/though I have a horrible feeling it depends.

A lot of it goes back to his being a member of the rpf. Communities like that tend to share tips and tricks so that everyone can improve the quality of their craft. Le benefited from the works of others, showed off his results, and told everyone to go fark themselves when they asked for some insight as to how he reached the final product. The drama may have been overblown, but they had a reason to be angry at him.

If I remember correctly, he was also selling helmets off his reputation for premium money and turning out complete shiat instead. When called on it he threw a fit. The mods didn't ban him straight away, hoping to have him explain or remedy the situation but he didn't show back up and instead had a couple of his friends make disparaging posts on his behalf.

His work is good, honestly, for cut up plastic garbage cans and rivets, but if you really want to see amazing search Google for "TMP Iron man". That dude's suits are so good that the studio has hired him for promotional work.

Alright, fine. That was pretty cool

I'm confused. He must be a virgin, but a suit like that would almost have to get you laid, right?

I'm only sick of it because it's always the same guy in the same suit. Every time.

I can't look at it, because gawker sites dont render well on phones. fark gawker sites and the people who submit them.

If any R2-D2 builder pulled that nonsense, he'd be more than a little ostracized, I think. No idea if it's true for this guy. (No reason to doubt chewielouie...)

Because Obama is the President, and he says we should share everything.

Anthony Le has been whoring out that suit since the first Iron Man came out, he's a dickhead and doesnt do anything to hide the fact. He once entered a costume contest aimed at children that failed to stipulate age requirements just so he could stomp a bunch of 10 year olds with cardboard suits. He will literally do anything to feed his own ego. Is the suit cool, yeah, but knowing what I do about the person in it I cant really get too excited about it.

I really hate that "cosplay" has become a noun now, as well as remaining in the previous role as a verb.

He cosplays.
Look at this cosplay.
They're cosplayers.

Ugh.

/prefers the old-school "masquerade" to the dumb-ass compound word "cosplay".
//"Masquerade" has class. "Cosplay" sounds air-brained.

I read that entire linked .jpg

To be honest, I can't tell who's the bigger douche bag. The guy who tries to "sneak into" costume contents (what the hell? really?) or the people treating it like he's history's greatest monster.

As far as I'm concerned, they can all DIAF.
