people as wealthy as the Romneys and the Davies never have to smell farts. So no, that look is probably just condescension.

Rich people wear expensive clothes, especially on TV. Who cares?

What's funnier is every time they try to make Thurston look human the effort falls flat or achieves the opposite. The man can't even run an effective campaign. He seems to think it's purely a function of money.

How much did she pay for her hair cut? I understand anything over $300 is too much.

Bet you a dollar Michelle Obamas wardrobe is more expensive.

She regularly wears outfits costing more than $4000. If you look at money spent on clothing as a percentage of income the Obamas are living like a welfare recipient in the bakery on SNAP card day. Gimme six dozen a donuts.

you've totally missed the point. by that same standard everyone on this board spends more of their income on their wardrobe than ms. rMoney. the problem is she's put out their by the campaign and represented to us as someone who is like working woman who struggle to make ends meet. she proves time and time again she is totally clueless to the plight of middle-class people.

All these people wear expensive clothes. Why is this news? I love the whole "Romney is rich which is bad" narrative. Everyone in top level politics is wearing thousands of dollars worth of clothes and accessories at a given time.

Remember when Bill Clinton was being criticized for getting $200 haircuts? That was stupid to complain about, too. Hasn't there even been articles blasting Michelle Obama for buying multi-thousand dollar dresses?

I guess these stories are good for riling up the occutards.

Holy talking points, Batman. No one has missed any point. You're saying the same exact thing about the Obamas.

No one in national politics is a "working man" as you describe it. Just because you aren't working class doesn't mean you aren't qualified to govern. Obama is wealthy by all worldly standards, yet you voted for him. Keep farking that chicken, though.

This isn't a defense of Romney, by the way, just saying in general. Romney is a bore.

There isn't going to be some 40 hour a week, $55,000 salary everyman winning the presidency. The system isn't setup for it. Both purposefully and organically he'd be destroyed by wealthy and connected candidates.

shiat...my entire WARDROBE didn't cost $990!!! I buy from blank t-shirt shops, Old Navy online sales, and clearance bins. But honestly, I'm not even mad at her...these kind of fark-ups are what will show people just how disconnected with reality the Romney family is. Which is good news for Obama.

Keep it up Ann!!

Seriously. I wouldn't pick that up from a $5 clearance rack. Eeegads! Plus, goofy prints on a television appearance aren't the best choice - her wardrobe assistant should be fired along with everyone else who keeps giving the Romney's bad advice before their public appearances.

Read this in David Attenborough's voice:

"Ah yes...here we observe the native behaviours of the North American Yellow-Breasted biatch-face. Note how she attempts to convince the others that she is one of them. Though known as an invasive species, once established with a nesting partner, she will often pretend that she is one of the original inhabitants. Often, the male Yellow-breasted biatch-Face will swoop down from upon his perch to take nesting materials away from other birds without regard for their safety and survival. For that reason, the Yellow-Breasted biatch-Face is often one of the more successful species in the North-Eastern United States, though seen as savage and cruel opportunists by many."

Difference is that Michelle Obama actually worked...at a job...and earned money to buy her clothes. Well, the ones that aren't gifted to her by designers that want to showcase their work of course. Ann R-Money went into a store and laid out a cool grand for this shiat.

Oh, is that the narrative now? That Michelle slaved to buy these clothes? With her, at one point, almost $300,000 a year salary, and last part time $100,000 she made in a year? But since Romneybot's wife didn't work, she didn't "earn" the right to wear expensive clothes?

Wearing expensive clothes doesn't make Obama, Michelle, Romneybot, or Mrs. Romneybot any less human or "out of touch."

I can only speak for myself, but I really don't give a shiat how much her clothes, or anyone else's clothes cost. I do, however, think someone should have stopped her before she appeared on national television wearing an Ed Hardy reject.

"While Romney is not thought of as a great philanthropist, his rate of giving is considered high. For example, in 2010 he gave $2.9 million or 14 percent of his income to charity. A typical person gives 2 to 3 percent of their income. And people who made $10 million or more typically gave 6.5 percent to charity, according to Roberton Williams of the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center in Washington."

well at least according to these people. why don't you look it up? also the rest of my comment was since they give so much, why fuss at them about a shirt? yes, it's ugly, but no uglier than M.O.'s clothing.
And yes the Romneys seem starchy, but so what? I am only interested in a candidates ability to get gov. spending under control. Mr Obama inherited a bad situation, but i don't believe he had enough experience to be President. i would rather have had Hillary, and i generally don't vote Dem.

the problem with this woman is not that she's rich, nor really even that she spent an obscene amount of money on a garment because it had a designer label. it's her money to spend, and if she wants to spend it on something that makes her look that ridiculous, that's her right.

the problem is that she is utterly clueless about the realities of life for most Americans. and it's demonstrably true that that is a trait she and her husband share. someone who has no concept of what $900 means to the average working person, or who doesn't understand that getting a job or staying home to raise the kids isn't a "choice" most of us have, or who sees average working-class people as a resource to be exploited rather than a vital part of our economy, is not someone I'm comfortable putting in the big chair.

I'm not gonna RTFA, but:

1) Nobody cares that you're rich. Nobody resents you for being rich. However, stop trying to pretend you're just like us. You aren't just like us, and quite frankly it's insulting when you try to convince us such.
2) That shirt is hideous. I wouldn't take that for free.

Please point out past and present congressman and presidents who didn't have far more money than the average man before entering office.

How many $75,000 a year (adjusted for whatever year) household salary, both husband and wife working, people have been in congress and the presidency?
