(Deadspin)   Why does god hate the 1994 Chargers? Seau is the 8th member of that team to die before age 45. One teammate was killed after being struck by lightning, twice   (deadspin.com) divider line 34

Guess now we know what Natrone Means.

Also, Bobby Ross + Ralph Friedgen = certain death for any program. Just usually not this literally.

It should be painfully obvious that God generally hates the Chargers, 1994 or otherwise.

In 1998, LB Doug Miller was struck by lightning while camping in Colorado. CPR was being performed on Miller when he was struck again by a second bolt.

I'm pretty sure I know what the Boobies would have been in that thread if Fark was around in 1998

Apparently, Death had a hard-on for Doug Miller. Struck by lightning and then hit again whilst being given CPR is Death bringing his A game.

For former members of the 1994 Chargers, they are apparently 1 in 53.

The Lincoln squirrel was also assassinated that night.

csb - The Chargers lost their first 4 games that season, iirc. For the superbowl, I went to a Marine buddy's house near Pendleton. He had some foreign military over to watch the game. The Simpsons was on afterward. They did the beautiful setup and payoff for the Lincoln squirrel joke and the house ROFLd. As soon as the laughter died down, the Australian said "I don't understand American humor."

Seau and the Lincoln squirrel. An eerie number of similarities.

I hate to imagine what the Super Bowl 25-28 appearers (aka the Bills) have in store. I'd bet God hates Jim Kelly's first born.

Colt 45 is a famous pistol, called "the peacemaker", and it's Texas, where such things are celebrated.

There was a hot prospect in the outfield named Billy Dee Williams. His baseball career didn't pan out, so they changed their name to Astros.

I know what a Colt .45 is; I just don't get why a baseball team should...

and it's Texas, where such things are celebrated

Never mind.

It was the 1960s, when you were still allowed to name teams after weapons.

A simpler, gentler time when schoolchildren needn't fear being shot in class--just a nuclear holocaust.

How could someone be killed twice?
