secretive outside spending groups of the kind the Kochs are said to back. . .
And while there's still no way of knowing whether Charles and David Koch are bankrolling Americans for Prosperity
"They don't want you to know who the Americans for Prosperity are, because they're thinking about the next election"
Whether or not Charles and David Koch have anything to do with Americans for Prosperity's multimillion-dollar war chest, they'll certainly be pouring cash into this campaign.

Great, another article spreading the myth that the Koch brother's try to hide their affiliation with AFP and other groups they support. That secret is so closely guarded by both the Koch's and AFP that searching the AFP website turns up 20+ articles discussing their relationship with the Kochs and their other foundations. As well as an older article that explains that David Koch was the founder and used to be a director of AFP.

And then there's all the public statements David Koch has made, and the statements to the media, where he's taken credit for founding AFP.

Or the very public battle going on between the Kochs and CATO over who controls that organization (which used to be called the Charles Koch Foundation).

Yeah, they're *so* secretive about all of it that it takes all of 30 seconds to locate dozens of public statements by the Kochs professing their relationships with the organizations they support.

That's some great investigative reporting their, Forbes.

We need campaign reform. money will always have a voice in politics, but the situation we have arrived at today is ridiculous. People who respond to these articles with "B-b-but - Soros!" miss the point entirely. The issue is whether we should extend this sort of power to a handful of billionaires, whatever their politics.

I agree with you. However, that wasn't the point of the article. TFA was not about money in politics, but about Bam Bam and the Weenies. Like much journalism these days, a potentially good article fails miserably.

Stop being naive, money has been in politics forever. Hell Joe Kennedy once said it cost him millions to get John the HR seat. If anything at least today we have some knowledge of who is paying who. That is not a silver lining but I fail to see why the Koch brothers are vilified and others are not.

Because every last bit of legislation they are striving to get implemented is horrible, evil, and detrimental to the vast majority of americans? Or was this some sort of rhetorical "both sides are bad" crap...?
