Yeah, except that would suck for the Clippers fan in L.A. Dude doesn't get back from washing windows until after 5:30.

Let's see how Memphis responds after that crushing defeat in Game 1. If they lose tonight, I could easily see them getting swept because Staples will be rockin' for those two Clippers home games.

Two things:

1. Memphis has great fans. It should be interesting to see how they respond.

2. I can't believe you wrote that second sentence and that it is true.

1. I'm sure the Memphis fans are great and will be pumping up the team, but damn, that was an EPIC collapse. Lebron James is going to have to do something spectacular to reclaim the title of "does the least in the fourth quarter." :-)

2. As a Lakers fan, my gut tells me there are a lot of bandwagon Clippers fans out there who are dying to go to their first playoff game. I could be wrong, though.

It wasn't tough talk from Harris, who had complimented Parker in the same breath. Jazz center Al Jefferson said the goal was "not to hurt him or nothing like that," but rather to dissuade Parker from barreling into the paint and punishing Utah with either an acrobatic layup or kicking out to a 3-point shooter.

"The playoffs is physical. We just can't let him feel like he can come down in that paint any time he ready," Jefferson said.

Jefferson and Millsap need to own the paint tonight. They are not doing that yet from the looks of it.

I actually don't mind hockey dominating basketball on Fark. It give the *douchebag hockey fans* on here something to feel good about since basketball dominates offline.

Does anyone think these TBS sitcoms are "very funny?" To me they look "very ordinary" and I've never watched one. They do, however, cram them down our throats every year during the NBA and MLB playoffs.

Yes, because Howard is an overrated clown and the fact that people don't openly mock him every chance they get, like they do LeBron, pisses me off. He's easily a bigger d-bag, but hey, no visible tattoos and a big ol' smile! And Superman cape!

Prior to this year, I'd disagree. But the whole, "oh I wanna be traded to a contender, now I wanna stay, the whole thing has made me sooooo upset!!!!" diva act was just as bad as the BS leading up to "the decision." Of course, DHoward still didn't do his own "the decision" at the end of it all, so he's still second-fiddle in the douchebag department to Lebron, IMO.

D-Ho pushes Christianity and knocks up cheerleaders. He acts like he's a good guy and throws more elbows at heads and earns more technicals than almost anyone in the league. He cries about not having a good team then cries when the rest of the team doesn't come to defend him when the media calls him out on his sh*t. He says he wants to be traded, tries to get his coach fired, then cries that it's unfair someone told on him when his coach finds out. He demands to be released then signs a contract extension.

All while being the most overrated defensive player ever. Ooh, it's so tough to guard the center position in the Eastern conference. 90 percent of his blocks are easy weakside blocks because he doesn't bother guarding his man. He spends 50 percent of offensive/defensive possessions spending 3-6 seconds in the key and only gets a token 1-2 calls per game against him for it.

At least LeBron is legitimately the best basketball player in the world. Howard brings all the negatives of LeBron with virtually none of the positives.

Also, "he made his press conference an hour-long event when declaring which team he'd go to in free agency" is really losing its luster when complaining about The Decision, because it's getting to the point where people are forgetting the emotion, and ultimately, there isn't anything wrong with what he did (the problem was how he did it and how it made people feel).

At least if Howard wins, Dwyane Wade doesn't also get a ring by just tagging along. So that's one thing Howard has going for him.

I'd agree he's overrated, but he is still one of the best defensive players (if not THE best) in the league. I think Bynum is more well rounded, however. Lakers dodged a bullet IMO.

Ouch, okay all of the deleted points are well taken, but I thought he DIDN'T sign an extension. He just said he wouldn't opt out this summer, essentially guaranteeing ANOTHER year of this BS next season.

Thank you Jeebus for NBATv!

Really got a kick out of Knicks fans panicking today on Twitter about a "special announcement" from MSG at 3 pm. I think it was just to congratulate Tyson Chandler on winning DPOY, but people were convinced that Isiah Thomas was coming back.

Oh Jimmy Dolan, you are the funniest owner in sports.

I put value on guys who can actually play man-on-man defense. LeBron and Iguodala can guard anyone in the league, positions 1-5. Howard barely guards 5s, and there are what, 5 good centers in the league? Roy Hibbert made the All-Star team, despite being a mediocre talent.

I suppose that's a fair point as well. I also have problems with people raising Wade as though he was the best player on the team and acting as though he's the most important guy. Remember how the Heat hadn't won a playoff series since 2006? That's what Wade did with similar talent to what LeBron had in Cleveland.
