I hate the Bulls but I really like this Bulls team. Did you see Pippen's letter to the guys?

Just how unpopular is the NBA on Fark?

The first night of the NBA playoffs didn't even get a thread. When there finally was a thread on the second night, it only garnered 164 comments.

To put it in perspective, the thread for the last night of the first round of the NHL Playoffs, featuring one game between two teams nobody gives a sh*t about, managed over 500 comments. The thread for the last day of the NFL Draft had over 750 comments.

Hell, even baseball, which Farkers seem to widely dislike because it's boring or some stupid bullsh*t like that, had 185 comments in a discussion thread about some meaningless April regular season games.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you're all really white and I'm really bored.

Largely because it was greenlit after 2 1/2 of the games were over. Oh, and there were threads submitted on night 1, just some jackass felt like all NBA threads needed to be redlit, while hockey got insta-greened.

But eh, they keep greening 'em on the nights of games I don't give a sh*t about.

Miami and OKC are the best two teams to watch and they're playing relatively decent teams...yet both times both teams have played, no thread.

Feels like the only upsets in the first round might be the 4/5 series, which isn't that shocking.

I hope some of these underdogs can make things interesting when they get home court.

For the most part, OKC has real rivals in its own conference. Not going to have a Rival they play a couple of times a year that gets to coast through a breezy conference.

I almost feel like you're trolling.

Playing a team in the Finals a few times in a short amount of time makes for good rivalries.

We know the playoffs ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what Memos stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for no Miami Heat championship.

We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of Baylesses. They will only grow louder and more dissonant in the weeks and months to come. We've been asked to pause for a reality check; we've been warned against offering the fans of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is the Heat not winning the East this year, there has never been anything false about hope. For when we have faced down impossible odds; when we've been told we're not ready, or that we shouldn't try, or that we can't, generations of basketball fans have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people.

Yes we can to LeBron not walking a red carpet to the NBA Finals. Yes we can to Wade flopping around like a fish on the Madhouse floor. Yes we can heal this league. Yes we can repair this sport. Yes we can.

I like how I went into this game thinking the Celtics were in a ton of trouble because Rondo wouldn't be there...then I see Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. Yeah, I think they're fine.
