Oh yes it does. I used to play goaltender without the neck guard. Tuk a slapper to the throat, hurt more than picks to the nards. I was out of the game for 10 minutes. Granted, it was pee-wee but still, my dad took me to get a neck hhs the very next day. Almost like getting strangled. You're trying to breathe but you can't. Strange feeling.

That's an easy one. I grew up while the Cold War was at fever pitch and had four years of Russian in high school. Still can stumble my way through spoken if I have to.
