Alphax: slotz: Conservative = insane? Hyperbole much? You ARE the problem.

Hyperbole, none. At all.

Republicans are now defined by hatred for those who are not Republicans. They are sociopaths, motivated by malice, with little care if they also hurt themselves with their actions.

YOU are the authority on what a Republican is? My, how enlightened you must be. I guess that means that ALL Democrats are good and whole? My god, man, do you not hear how ridiculous you sound, regurgitating the crap you're absorbing from the sensationalist media? Pretty sad. I bet your idols would disagree with your "certainty."

wedding vegetables: AverageAmericanGuy: quatchi: AverageAmericanGuy: Wright hates America about as much as those nitwits over at Westboro Baptist Church do.

Look at how stupid you are.

Wright's point was that God does not love sin not that he hated America but here you are years after the fact still pretending that Wright hates America and is somehow a worse person than the religious fundocrats who power the GOP these days and seek to take civil rights back to the dark ages.

You want nitwits?

Look at people like Pat Robertson, Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, Rev. O'Neal Dozier, Rick Santorum, the Family in DC, John Hagee, Ralph Reed, Jim Garlow, Richard Lee, Robert George, Mark Driscoll and the moldering corpse of Jerry Fallwell.

The greatest part of America's history involves it's evolution of civil rights to include more and more of it's citizenry and the above named people spit on that heritage every time they open their fat yaps and spew their anti-ghey, anti-women derp.

They represent the worst part of America and they hate the best part.

How about you?

Claiming your personal policy preference as the 'best' as if it were objectively the case is pretty pompous. But there's just no arguing with you libs.

I made a comparison between Wright and WBC because they use the same types of phrasing to make their points. You took that as an opportunity to lambast Republicans.

Is your hate so fully ingrained that you can't respond to a point without attacking and vilifying your opponent?

hey, I think that unchecked greed and selfishness will doom this country. maybe I'll join Wright and Phelps on one of their numerous obnoxious public protests.

You will call down God's wrath on all of America because you have an issue with some aspect of your ideological opposite?

That's your right, I guess.

But it shows the same ideological inflexibility and lack of nuance of Rev. Wright and Westboro. Those aren't allies I'd want on my side, but it's a free country. Enjoy the fleas.

I just assume they're telling the truth!

They've stated their entire policy on two statements:

a.) They will roll back Obama actions.
b.) They will return us to the devastating economic policies of the Bush Administration.

If you know of anything else the party says it's going to do, let me know.

Well, we've all learned not to listen to what Republcans say. There's nothing to be learned there. You watch what they do. And their actions in the last 12 years disgust and horrify me, and should do so to any sane person.

Until the 2 wars he started (one by incompetence and one with lies) , the Medicare Part D giveaway, and the revenue lost due to his insane tax cuts get paid for Bush blame is still in play.

Reckon you might be able to stop blaming him in another 15 years or so if you're lucky.

Until the current Republicans offer something other than "cut the social safety net to the bone, cutting taxes for the 1% and corporations while drill, baby, drilling" into the mix and stop being unreasonable obstructionist asshole about everything then they too can be pointed at and blamed.

How you can still think the GOP would improve the economy after all evidence to the contrary leads me to believe you are either a troll or massively uninformed and/or misinformed.

The_Sponge: stoli n coke: America hating? Really? Someone that served honorably both in the Marine Corps and as part of a Presidential Medical Staff?
He may not be the best guy in the world, but there's little doubt he's better than you.
1) His previous service is a positive thing, but what has he done lately? You know, besides coming off as an American hating douche.
2) Child please....you know nothing about me.
2)

"Don't let anybody make you think that God chose America as his divine messianic force to be a sort of policeman of the whole world. God has a way of standing before the nations with judgment and it seems that I can hear God saying to America "you are too arrogant, and if you don't change your ways, I will rise up and break the backbone of your power, and I will place it in the hands of a nation that doesn't even know my name. Be still and know that I'm God."

I am in no way comparing MLK and Rev Wright. But It seems pretty clear to me that he is also pointing out that if America keeps on the path they are on , they are asking for divine retribution. This speech was in 67 and almost 50 years later we are still debating the same stuff. So you can't really blame the man for saying God Damn America. If you had to live as a minority in this country you might be saying the same thing. That was Wright's point. If your fear is God's wrath they is WAY more stuff to worry about. One thing might be is our total failure as stewards of the earth or our unwillingness to care for the poor and the sick. If you don't like what he said, then cool. You are free to feel as you wish. But when you question a man's love for nation, you better have some real hard facts. Jerry Farwell said that gay people caused 9-11, I don't know about you I can totally see the love of country there. 3000 people died blame the Gheys!

But a greater issue for me lies in the fact you stated you will "... reserve my respect for veterans who don't do such things." So if I understand this correctly, you are super cool with sending a solider to die for your liberty but the moment that solider stands up to his country and says something you dislike they are no longer worthy of respect? There have been many members of the military that have said things that I do not support I do not lose any respect for them. Many of the ones I served with are polar opposites of my beliefs. Yet I have nothing but respect for them. Even when they say some of the dumbest crap I have ever heard. But you sir are a very special kind of hypocrite willing to send others to die to insure your liberties are not infringed. You are then willing to turn around and deny the same liberties to a soldier who put his life on the line for those same liberties because he calls his nation to task. So yes, God damn America. God Damn America for billions of dollars it pours out in support of some the worst people in the world. God damn America for bombs that drop on innocent civilians who are labeled as "collateral damage." You are free to be as much of an ass you want but questioning someone's love of country and then denying them respect because they don't like the actions of this country makes you out to be a weak petty human being. Move on to a better argument dude you have no moral standing to keep this line of discussion going.
