Interesting to note here how the Dems treat their moral failures as opposed to the Reps. Not really getting TPOC's "Thanks Dems" thing here. Kerry/Edwards > Bush/Cheney. If Kerry had been elected Edwards would have had to step down in disgrace and been replaced which would have hampered his ability to move his agenda forward somewhat but not as much as some pundits have speculated. Considering Dumbya actually won his second term and what occurred on that watch I find the idea that America "dodged a bullet" in 2004 by not electing Kerry/Edwards to be laughable. That noted, the 8k kickback to Riele's "Spiritual adviser" and her apparent flakiness/high maintenance factor are just an extra layer of icing on Edward's massive FAILcake here.

Sounds like you are in the North East. If you are down in London, there should be plenty of places where you can get salt beef. I used to get these amazing salt beef sandwiches from a Jewish cafe in Faringdon. 1 quid for a real door-stopper. But that was 15 years ago or so, so I don't know if the place is still there, and I can't remember it's name anyway.
Manchester has a fairly big Jewish community too, so you might be in luck there for salt beef.
As for a Reuben's sandwich in the UK, well until this thread I had never heard of it before, so yeah, the UK may not be the place for one.
