He'll absolutely crucify Mittens with the 1% of voters he needs. He's still only going to win by a slim margin of the popular vote (Most likely, he'll have a significant electoral advantage if he can mobilize the pissed off, underemployed college kids who voted for him in '08 and the people sick of the Republican foreign policy of bomb everything.) The economy is simply chugging along at an anemic rate, but I doubt Mittens has enough firepower to get the nod.

It'll be fun to watch the debates... Mittens is an incredibly weak candidate. Probably more so than Kerry and he did pretty well in the debates even though he is the most boring human being on the face of the planet.

People are angry and will vote for anything that might possibly change the status quo even if, in reality, it will just make things worse. It does suck right now, but we have to stick with what we're doing. Any kind of radical change at this point, especially cutting Treasury revenue by slashing taxes without commensurate cuts somewhere else would simply destroy any hope we might have of economic viability going forward. Hell, we can't handle $1 trillion yearly deficits... Mitt seems to want to increase that even more.

I'm absolutely terrified about the economic ramifications to this country if a Republican wins the WH and they gain 60 seats in the Senate, or even gain a majority. We'd pretty much prove the Mayans correct.
